Hi there!
Welcome back for another fun Papertrey Group Post! This one's involves a little collection of new stitching products that we've been keeping under wraps to surprise you with today.....Phone Case Dies and Phone Case Details Dies!! Yep, Erin Lincoln has done it again, and these just might be my favorites yet! Can't wait to show you what I made....let's get right to it!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on July 15 at 10pm EST.
Ahhh.....a cell phone case and matching card! Aren't they just the cutest together?! I should probably give them away but I'm just not sure I can. I mean, look how happy my phone looks in that case!
First up, let's talk about the case. I used vintage cream felt for the body of the case. I have an iPhone 5 and notice that it fits in the case, even with it's plastic case (from the Apple store) on it. It's a snug fit, but that's not a bad thing since I made mine without a closure at the top.
I used the main phone case die to cut out two pieces of vintage cream felt. On the front one, I also used the little half circle die to cut out the notch at the top. Next, I used the Phone Case Details dies, to cut out 6 arrows. And then I used the coordinating stitching holes die to cut matching holes in the front felt piece, by running it through my vagabond 6 times, repositioning it each time for each of the arrows.
The felt colors I used for the arrows are from top: raspberry fizz, summer sunrise, hibiscus burst, limeade ice, lavender moon and aqua mist.
After all the die cutting was done, I just stitched the arrows in place and then stitched the three sides of the case together! Easy peasy! And dang, it's cute! Haha!
And of course you can use the dies to make matching cards! How handy is that? I used the same colors as on the phone case, but this time cut the arrows from card stock.
After they were adhered in place, I stamped the sentiment from Banner Sentiments, with smokey shadow ink.
Before I go, I've also got another Pack Your Bags card for you today.....
I used the Tag Sale #11 die with kraft card stock layers and clear card stock in between. Love how realistic this looks! I stamped a sentiment from Pack Your Bags on the back layer of the tag with dark chocolate ink and accented the 'hanger' portion with a new leaf button.
The suitcases from Pack your Bags were stamped with new leaf and hawaiian shores inks and accented with dark chocolate "hardware".
And one more for you before I go......this one shows you what the Tag Sale #11 die looks like if you only use the main tag portion and opt to skip the frame.
I used a bit of new leaf twill ribbon for the hanger this time.....it's a perfect fit.
I stamped the sentiment from Birthday Classics: August on the tag with tropical teal ink and then stamped it again in new leaf ink, cut out the "Brighten" portion and popped it up with foam adhesive. I also tucked a limeade ice button behind that layer, on the sun. Behind the tag is a die cut strip of tropical teal card stock that was cut with the "hanger" portion of the Tag Sale #11 die collection! It's layered on some limeade ice pattern pack paper and that is mounted on a new leaf card base.
All righty, my friends.....you're in for a treat today as you bop around and check out everyone's phone case projects! Enjoy!
