Welcome back for another fun Papertrey Group Post! Today, the entire team is highlighting a lovely new stamp set by Nichole Heady called Fancy That! It features beautiful open-work medallions perfect for a wide variety of techniques and applications!
Unfortunately, my Fancy That stamp set didn't make it to me before we had to head to Mayo Clinic, so I'll be sharing my cards using this set, once I get home. But of course, I've got more with Tick Tock and Birthday Classics: September cards to share with you so let's get right to it!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on August 15 at 10pm EST.
Firstly, a Tick Tock card...! I love browns and purples together. They seem like such an unlikely combo, but can be so lovely!
I stamped the cuckoo clock from Tick Tock in winter wisteria and plum pudding inks and added some kraft die cut shutters. The little birds were stamped in lavender moon ink and I tucked one up top, as though he's sitting in the rafters. ;)
The background features Polka Dot Basics II dots stamped in lavender moon ink on kraft card stock.....such a sweet combo! And of course, both of the sentiments are from Tick Tock and were stamped in dark chocolate ink.
And one more today......this one couldn't be simpler to make, but goodness it's rather striking, yes?! AND the best part is, it could totally be for a guy OR a girl! Love cards that can work for guys too!
Believe it or not, all those strips of color (Ombre Builders stamp set) were created with just two ink pads!! I used terracotta tile and canyon clay inks, however I stamped each THREE times without reinking in between! This creates such a gorgeous ombre effect!
The sentiment is the large one from Birthday Classics: September and I stamped it in dark chocolate ink directly on the cream panel and then, to mirror the effect of the orange colors, I stamped it again on another piece of card stock WITHOUT reinking, trimmed it out and popped it right over the first layer. Easy peasy!
