Hello there! Welcome back for Day 2 of the Papertrey August Countdown! I'm excited to show you several more projects using my new Tick Tock and Birthday Classics: September stamp sets! Let's get right to it...!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on August 15 at 10pm EST.
What's cuter than one cuckoo clock? THREE cuckoo clocks!! Haha!
So I've totally had a mustard color on the brain lately....I've got some mustard yarn I've been crocheting with, so I busted out my veeeery old More Mustard ink pad from Stampin' Up! and used it on the cuckoo clock on the left. I also mixed and matched hawaiian shores, new leaf and ripe avocado inks on all the cuckoo clocks.
As you can see here, since I wasn't using the Tick Tock die, the 'window' is closed on each cuckoo clock and I just added die cut shutters to the sides of each window.
On the clock in the middle, I added birds down along the bottom of the house and on the green clock on the right, I added a little die cut bird, up along the roofline. You can perch these little birds anywhere you'd like! ;)
I used two of the sentiments from Tick Tock here, stamping both of them in ripe avocado ink. Cute, huh? Perfect for a friend who's moving or even a new neighbor that just moved in!
For this card, I die cut the cuckoo clock from berry sorbet card stock and then stamped it in pure poppy ink, followed by smokey shadow ink for the clock face.
The little bird is stamped on a separate piece of white card stock and adhered behind the clock with foam adhesive.
The background was created with one of the new border stamps from Haunted Borders. (See Nichole Heady's blog for more info about that today!)
The sentiment is another fun one from Tick Tock, and it was stamped in smokey shadow ink!
OK, one more for today....this one incorporates a few new items, including Birthday Classics: September and the new Seasonal Stitches: Notebook Paper dies that you got a peek at yesterday on Nichole's blog!
I started out with a piece of white card stock and used the dies to add the notebook paper stitching holes. Then I went back and stitched them with DMC embroidery floss (all 6 strands). The two colors of floss I used are 3706 and 964.
After the stitching was done, I used stamped the large sentiment from Birthday Classics: September twice, and trimmed out and popped the top portion up with foam adhesive. I used some pinking shears to trim the border along the bottom and layered the white sentiment panel on some berry sorbet card stock. The acorns and leaves were created with the Autumn Acorns dies and stamps and a few dark chocolate buttons finished this card off.
For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Maile Belles, Laura Bassen & Ashley Cannon Newell for lots more sneak peeks. Heather Nichols, Erin Lincoln, Lexi Daly, and Lizzie Jones will have peeks at their new products as well.
I'm so glad you stopped by today! What are you thinking of Tick Tock and Birthday Classics: September so far? I'd love to hear from you!
Have a goodie!
