Welcome back for Day 2 of the Papertrey Countdown! I've got a couple more cards for you today, featuring Birthday Classics: November.
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on October 15 at 10pm EST.
To start things off, I've got a Thanksgiving card with a bit of an non-traditional color scheme. I love how in fall, all of the leaves are changing to such a variety of colors, sometimes even all on the same leaf. They're not all red and orange.....there are still lots of varieties and shades of greens and yellows, so I tried to mimic that look with a bit of the inking I did on the leaves.....some with the rock and roll technique, others just stamping multiple times without reinking.
The "Happy" and "Thanksgiving" are both from Birthday Classics: November and were stamped in simply chartreuse and tropical teal inks. After I had all the stamping done, I ran the white card stock through the vagabond with the woodgrain impression plate. I love the texture this adds!
Here, you can see a bit more of that woodgrain texture. So nice for adding to the overall woodsy feel too!
And here is a birthday card, featuring three of the separate sentiment building stamps from Birthday Classics: November. I paired them with some stamps from Garden Grace.
It was so fun to stamp these Garden Grace images in fall colors. The flowers were stamped in pure poppy ink, outlined in terracotta tile, and the leaves were stamped in canyon clay ink.
The little banner at the top is also from Birthday Classics: November and at this angle, you can also see the shimmer I added to the leaves with a Sakura gellyroll pen.
