Hi there!
Hold on to your hats because we have a HUGE Papertrey Group Post for you today! We have a slew of new products to introduce, all of which were designed to help make your handmade gift giving this holiday season, faster, easier and more beautiful than ever!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on October 15 at 10pm EST.
To get things started, I have a treat jar for you.....this would be perfect for neighbors, teachers, friends, etc! I filled a standard Ball canning jar with chocolate covered pretzels and used the new Jar Bonnet die to cut out the fabric topper. I didn't put any sort of stabilizer on the fabric -- I just ran it through my vagabond forward and backward and it cut the fabric beautifully. I tied the bonnet over the top of the jar lid and tied it on with a bit of cotton twine. TIP: Put a rubber band over the fabric to hold it in place, while you tie on your tag!
The tag was created with the new Folded Foodie Tag die. It's so cute, isn't it?! I stamped it with two hexagon images from the Canned stamp set, and the "Merry Christmas" sentiment from Season's Greetings is a perfect fit in the little window!!
Inside the tag, I added more images and sentiments from Canned, and then hand-wrote the contents of the jar and a little suggestion to serve them with milk! ;) I can also jot a little note to the recipient on the inside of the card.
Next up is a new die and stamp set designed by Erin Lincoln. The box was created with the Vintage Favor It Box dies, including the window cut-out and little banner!
The trim on the box was stamped with images from the Just A Little Something stamp set and before assembling the box, I die cut the little circle window and lined the front of the box with some clear card stock. On top, a little banner was added that reads, "A Treat For You".
There are 8 of these jumbo Andes mints tucked comfortably inside the box. This is a perfect little treat to leave on a co-worker's desk or perhaps to tuck in the mailbox for the mailman!
Next up, is a hand-stitched, monogrammed bookmark and coordinating gift tag. I love giving the gift of books, so why not create a monogrammed bookmark to go along with the books?!
For the gift tag, I used the Basic Bookmark #2 die, but only ran it through the Vagabond half way, before backing up, carefully sliding the die forward and then running it the rest of the way through. This allowed me to create a shorter gift tag!
It was stamped with the large grid image from the new Cross Stitched stamp set as well as a little sentiment from the same set. Next, I stamped the leaf cluster from Songbirds, followed by one of the die cut birds on top.
For the bookmark, I die cut aqua mist card stock with the Basic Bookmark #2 die and then used one of the Cross Stitched Alphabet dies to cut out the stitching holes for the "R", as well as an Embroidered Borders die for the stitching holes along the bottom.
More leaves and tiny flowers from Songbirds were stamped on the tag and embroidery floss (all 6 strands) was used to stitch up the holes.
Before I go, of course I've got a Birthday Classics: November card to share with you!
I pulled out the Mighty Oak stamp set and stamped it with dark chocolate, terracotta tile and canyon clay inks, before adding some canyon clay buttons on top.
The sentiment elements are all from Birthday Classics: November, as well as the little flag images at the bottom.
Ok friends, I'm off for now, but the rest of the team has lots more gift-giving tips to inspire you today!!
