Tap, tap.....this thing on?
Haha! I'm finally back with lots and lots of pictures to share! We've had so much going on here at the end of October, and I've got pictures of a lot of the events to share with you over the coming days.
As for today, this is a very photo heavy post and I'll let the pictures do most of the talking. This post is all about the day we went to the hospital two weeks ago today, actually, to meet our newest little nephew, Caleb. I have to apologize for the lighting in these pictures though.....hospital lighting is horrible, of course, so forgive me for that, but I wanted you to be able to get a glimpse into our day, just the same.
This adorable little peanut weighed in at 9lbs, 11oz. He's BIG and oh-so-snuggly!
Here he is, with his mama and daddy....those lips!!!!!!!! Where's the emoji with the hearts for eyes when you need it?!
As tradition holds, Grandma got to hold him first. ;) Sugar Pops (my dad - heehee!) had to work that day, so that meant that I was next up....
Again, the lighting....blurg.....haha!
Auntie Grace was next, followed by each of the kiddos.
Even though Malachi is the second oldest (at age 5), since this is the first time he's ever had a brother, he got to be the first to hold Baby Caleb. It was a big day for Malachi! ;)
Ally was next. Can I just interject that even though she's the oldest and officially one of "the bigs", she's still just 6 years old, and I love those little dimples on her hands! She's still so little....
(And yes, that means my sister has 6 littles ages 6 and under!)
Zoey was next. She's 3. Man, 3 year olds are so much fun. The Minnie Mouse voice.....gah! It gets me every time! :)
Here's Lainey-bug. She's 2. Lainey and Cailyn came to stay with Bartley and me when we left the hospital. The other bigs came too, but stayed with Auntie Grace or Grandma. Anyway, while we had Lainey and Cailyn, we had joked with Diann that our job was to potty-train Lainey. Haha, right? As it turns out, I started asking her right when she got up the next morning, if she needed to potty and low and behold, she went!!! In the toilet!!! For the first time!!! LOL. So we kept at it, and while she wasn't completely out of diapers when we sent her home, she was ready for pull-ups and was well on her way to being potty trained! I was SOOOOO proud of that little girl! She got 5 m&ms every time she went for us. So she was quite happy to go 5 times a day! Hahaha. Whatever works, that's what I say!
Baby Cailyn and littler Baby Caleb. SO. MUCH. CUTENESS.
And of course, here is the whole crew!
And then, 8 days after this, my brother got married! Haha! I'll save those pictures for another post. Stay tuned!
Thanks for sharing in our excitement over the newest little member of the family. I know some of you have been reading this blog since before Ally was born. You remember when each of these littles arrived, you've seen these pictures each year, and watched that hospital bed get fuller and fuller each year. Heehee! I love that you and I have that history together. Thanks for being here, and for caring about my family.
much love to you,
P.S. I'll be back tomorrow with Papertrey's Senior Design Team Challenge! See you then!
