Hi there! Happy NOVEMBER!!!! Holy moly, the holidays are officially on the way and they'll be here before we know it! I hope you had a happy Halloween yesterday! And now, I can't even believe it's time to start seriously gearing up for Christmas! (Yes, I know we have Thanksgiving first, but you know how long it can take to prep for Christmas! Better get a move on now!) ;)
With that in mind, I have a fun gift tag idea to share with you today! You could make these for all of your loved ones, to identify whose gift is whose, simply by incorporating their photo on each gift tag!
I used a photo of my nephew, Benji, because......well, look at him! Haha. I simply printed out an Instagram snap of him from Easter, that I resized to a 2.5" square. This is super easy since Instagrams are already square! You just need to shrink it to whatever size you need for your tag. In this case, I used the Basic Bookmark #2 die which is 2.5" wide. Easy peasy!! These bookmark die cuts are perfect for these tags, because of their slightly oversized nature.....they give you plenty of space to include a picture!
Then you can embellish above and below the photo, as I did here with stamps from the Instant Photo: Holidays stamp set.
Besides stamping the sentiments, I added a few strips of card stock in various colors, just to frame the photo a bit.
Just think, you could print out happy little snaps from your phone like I did, or you could print out funny photos of your loved ones from years past, that are sure to make them (and everyone else) smile, as you all go down memory lane together!! Such a fun way to bring everyone together even a little bit more for Christmas!
On the back of the gift tag, I simply wrote a little note to Benji-boy. Can't wait to tie this on his gift this Christmas!
The nice thing about these tags -- besides the fact that they're just FUN -- is that they're fairly quick and easy to whip up, so you can make one for everyone! The thing that will likely take you the longest, is deciding on which photos of your loved ones to use!!
