Hi there!
Time for the Papertrey Monthly Moments Group Post! Today, the entire team is featuring the Monthly Moments collection, plus I've got some cards to share showcasing A Cheerful Heart, Holiday Thanks and Birthday Classics: December! Lots of fun stuff today! First off, let's talk about this Monthly Moments card!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on November 15 at 10pm EST.
I used one of the Monthly Moments: November double-wide journaling cards to serve as the background as well as a place to house my sentiments! I used the new Monthly Moments: November die, to cut out the word "November" from tropical teal felt.....how pretty and cozy is that?! I stamped the branches and "I am thankful for" as well as the "count your blessings" tag, all from Monthly Moments: November. The "Count your blessings" was punched out with a punch and popped up with a little foam adhesive. And lastly, I used another new stamp set and die and an adhesive sheet, to create those little adhesive backed letters that spell out YOU! Nichole will have all the details about those goodies today, so visit her blog for more info!
Next up is a card featuring Holiday Thanks paired with last month's Painted Poinsettias stamp set. Still can't get enough of those flowers! ;) They were stamped with raspberry fizz, pure poppy and scarlet jewel inks and summer sunrise for the centers. The leaves were stamped with spring moss, new leaf and ripe avocado.
I stamped the "Thank you" from Holiday Thanks, using pure poppy ink on the raspberry fizz card base and the "For the Christmas gift" was stamped in smokey shadow.
Next up is a fun little card featuring a new die collection called Floral Flaps, designed by Nichole Heady, that pairs beautifully with the large sentiments from A Cheerful Heart!
The die cuts out 4 triangles that are then sandwiched between 2 squares of card stock and folded forward, to create this little gift looking card. Once you untie the bow (I used seam binding here), all the flaps just fold out to reveal the sentiment inside.....
And here's the sentiment, from A Cheerful Heart, stamped in tropical teal ink on the new leaf card base.
A closer look....Because of the large scale of the sentiments in A Cheerful Heart, you almost don't need anything else, making it really quick and easy to whip up this type of card!
One more for today.....this one pairs Birthday Classics: December with Mistletoe & Holly. I stamped the holly and berries with ripe avocado and pure poppy inks and then sprayed some seam binding with Mister Huey's red spray mist, to create the bow.
The two sentiment components from Birthday Classics: December were stamped in pure poppy ink and the white panel was layered on a kraft card base.
All righty, you won't want to miss out on all of the other girls' Monthly Moments projects so be sure to visit each one!
And leave them some love while you're there....I'm sure they'd all appreciate hearing from you!!
