This book report is loooooong overdue, but as with everything around here this past month or so, I'm just a tad behind! Haha. Thankfully, November has arrived, and with it comes a much less hectic schedule, for which I'm extremely grateful. It occurred to me that when we were first married, I liked us to be busy, busy, busy. I liked to have our calender full of fun things to do and places to go. The older I get, however, the more I've come to appreciate a calender that is EMPTY! Haha. I like time at home. I like quiet evenings IN. And I like our schedule most, when it isn't full of "stuff". Don't get me wrong, I love going out and doing fun things as much as the next person, but I've just come to realize how much I don't NEED that in order to be happy. I'm content at home. I'm happy at home. And I like spending time at home. :)
All that to say, in the midst of all the craziness around here over the last couple of months, most of my reading happened either while I was eating lunch each day, or while I was on the elliptical. So, I've been accumulating a few books to share with you. Most of these are historical fiction and each of them are full of love and romance, twists and turns and several of them will suck you in pretty quickly and may just make you want to read late into the night. Don't say I didn't warn you! ;) Also, in case you were thinking of giving any of these as gifts, they're all perfectly clean and would make great gifts -- no smut here!
Let's get right to them, shall we?
A Lady at Willowgrove Hall by Sarah E. Ladd
Secrets of Sloane House by Shelley Gray
Prelude for a Lord by Camille Elliot
And lastly, how about a modern day story!
Princess Ever After by Rachel Hauck
Enjoy these good reads, friends!
