Hi Friends,
Now that Christmas is nearly upon us, it's a good time to start thinking about the thank you notes you might want to send out to say thank you to your loved ones for the gifts they've given you. I think it's a good idea to keep it simple when it comes to Christmas thank yous. Things are so busy around the holidays and the main goal is to actually make and send these thank yous, and if you put too much pressure on yourself to make them super involved, you may be less likely to actually complete the project! Plus, if you keep them nice and simple, they're more easily mailable without having to pay extra postage. I've whipped up some thank you notes to share with you today, that will hopefully fit the bill perfectly, and give you a little inspiration for getting your own thank you notes on their way.
I so love the look of colored inks stamped over white ink on kraft card stock. It's such a great way to use a kraft card base and still allow the colors to really pop! Without the white, the ink colors are much more muted and subtle. I'm not so much one for muted and subtle, as you might have noticed. Hahaha!
So to start off, I grabbed two kraft card bases and stamped them each with flowers and leaves from Painted Poinsettias, using fresh snow ink. Then, I went back in with the colored inks, and stamped the top two layers of flower and leaf details....using raspberry fizz and pure poppy for the flowers on one card and hawaiian shores and new leaf on the other. And for the leaves, they're stamped with new leaf and ripe avocado inks.
I kept it simple and used one die and one stamp set for the sentiments, but used different colors and phrases to keep things fun and interesting. If mass producing cards isn't your thing, changing up these types of little details can really help!
So I used the Wonderful Words: Thank You die to cut out the die cut 'thank you' and glued it on with some tombo mono adhesive. The sentiments from Holiday Thanks, were stamped in smokey shadow ink, to finish off the die cut sentiment.
I know things are so busy for everyone right now, but hopefully even if you don't have time to start on your thank yous yet, maybe these have given you some ideas that you can keep in the back of your mind until you're ready to crank out your own cards!
Wishing you a wonderful day, Dearies!
