Hey there!
Time for another fun Papertrey Group Post! Today, we're showcasing a new stamp set and dies designed by Nichole Heady, called Big Hugs. This set allows you to easily create the cutest 'hugs' to send to those you love! I've got a pair of Big Hugs cards to show you, starting with this one using one of the Big Hugs dies with some coordinating sentiments from the set.
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on December 15 at 10pm EST.
I die cut the large "Hugs" from new leaf card stock and adhered it to a strip of aqua mist card stock. Below the "Hugs", I stamped one of the sentiments from the Big Hugs stamp set. Above the "Hugs", I added a journal tabs die cut on which I stamped the "Sending" from Big Hugs. I stitched the tab to the aqua strip with my sewing machine and added a new leaf button to the top. The whole thing is layered on a white card base that is covered with a piece of vintage sheet music.
Next up, I stamped several of the large sentiments from "Big Hugs" all on a white piece of card stock, starting with the "sending" banner.
I stamped the banner in berry sorbet ink and the next three "Hugs" were stamped with sweet blush, hibiscus burst and melon berry inks.
On the kraft strip, I stamped the largest "Hugs" with fresh snow ink first and then stamped it again, slightly off-set, with berry sorbet ink. I love the slight outline that you get with this technique!
Before I go, I've also got a couple Birthday Classics: January cards to share with you, including my little sister, Glory's, birthday card! She was born on New Year's Day and I love that I can create a special birthday card for her, with the Birthday Classics: January set!
I stamped the three sentiment portions from Birthday Classics: January, at the top of the white panel, using pure poppy and raspberry fizz inks. Below that, I stamped the scallops from Ombre Builders repeatedly in a rainbow palette for a fun and funky focal point!
One more for today.....I started out by stamping the three sentiments from Birthday Classics: January at the bottom of some white card stock, followed by the three birthday sheet music images from Songbirds.
Then, I added a die cut bird, some flowers and some leaves, all created with the Songbirds stamps and dies, and topped the flowers with some pink rhinestones. Lastly, I used the Basic Bookmark #1 die, to cut out some vintage book print, which is tucked behind the white card stock.
All righty, Friends.....have fun as you visit the other girls on the design team, for their Big Hugs projects!
