Hello!
Welcome back for another fun Papertrey Group Post! Today, we're showcasing a new collection of products designed by Betsy Veldman, called Love You to Pieces. The idea behind these stamps and dies, is that they allow you to create interactive Valentines, complete with little paper toys that the recipient can put together themselves!
For this first card, I used one of the card wraps from the Love You to Pieces: Fox paper pack, to create the "envelope" around my little 'toy'. I stamped the "Will you be my valentine?" and flowers, as well as the "Pull here" heart, using the Love You to Pieces: Fox and Love You to Pieces Additions stamp sets. This is the "front" side of the envelope. I also used the new Envelope Zipper die, to add the 'dotted lines' where the recipient can open the envelope.
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on December 15 at 10pm EST.
This is the back side of the "envelope".....it comes printed, and I added the to/from with stamps from the Additions set.
When you pull the tab to open the envelope, this is what you see inside......I stamped the "hey foxy girl" as well as the flowers and leaves. And how about that cute little fox?!!!! It was die cut from one of Papertrey's coasters, and stamped with the Love You to Pieces: Fox stamp set. You can see another one peeking out from inside the envelope. That's what's tucked inside the Valentine! The recipient can pop the coaster puzzle pieces out and put together this cute little fox!! How clever is that?!
Here's a look at the pieces on the coaster. So, so cute, right? I have nieces and nephews that would LOVE putting this little guy together!
And in case you're thinking that you don't really want to make coaster cards, and you're more of a traditional card kind of gal, not to worry.......there are smaller stamps too, that work beautifully for more traditional types of cards.
Here, I used the stamps and dies, to cut out the little foxy girl and some flowers. I stamped the sentiments on a Mat Stack 3 die cut.
The background was created with 3 little stamps from the stamp sets....super quick and super cute!
All righty, how about a couple more Birthday Classics: January cards for you before I go? First up, I paired the main birthday sentiment from the set, with the Painted Poinsettias stamps and dies.
Poinsettias make for a beautiful "winter" card, don't you think? I stamped the flowers with aqua mist, hawaiian shores and new leaf inks, with the centers stamped with limeade ice. The leaves were stamped with new leaf and ripe avocado inks. Lastly, a few aqua mist snowflakes from Birthday Classics: January were stamped on the background.
And for all the girliness of the last card, this one could be perfect for a masculine card, depending on the colors your guy prefers. :)
I stamped the Birthday Classics: January sentiments first, and then ran the card stock through the vagabond with the herringbone impression plate.
I tied on some cotton twine, added a strip of tropical teal card stock and a few new leaf buttons as finishing touches.
The rest of the team has Love You To Pieces projects to show you, so be sure to visit each one!
