Hello there! Welcome back for Day 2 of the Papertrey Countdown! Today, besides sharing a bit more of my Birthday Classics: January stamp set with you, I also get the pleasure of helping to introduce you to a new stamp set designed by Erin Lincoln, called Love Notes as well as a new cover plate designed by Nichole Heady! Let's get right to the projects!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on December 15 at 10pm EST.
My favorite part of the Love Notes stamp set is this oversized pair of "LOVE" images....I love the design and I love that they make it really easy to create cards quickly (and stylishly!) because of their larger scale.
I stamped the love block with hawaiian shores ink and then stamped the love detail in new leaf ink. I also added two other stamps from Love Notes above and below the block, also in new leaf ink. And lastly, I stamped the "happy anniversary" from Love Notes, on a strip of white card stock and added it with a bit of foam adhesive.
This card was created with the Love Notes stamps and dies as well as the new Cover Plate: In the Woods die! The cover plate die was used on new leaf card stock to cut out the green tree frame. I adhered it all around the frame with scor-tape and left the branches alone.
The sentiment from Love Notes was stamped on the aqua mist card base with dark chocolate ink. Lastly, I used the Love Notes dies and stamps to create the two adirondack chairs and popped them up with foam adhesive.
Here's one more Love Notes card for you......for this one, I stamped the main "LOVE" image with raspberry fizz and pure poppy inks and layered that panel on a monthly moments: journal card #2 die cut. On the pink layer, I stamped the "YOU FOREVER" from Love Notes, finishing the sentiment.
Behind the scalloped layer is a strip of simple valentine patterned paper and lastly, on the card base, I stamped a sentiment from the new Keep It Simple: Valentine, with pure poppy ink.
One more for you today.....I used the Cover Plate: In the Woods die in a fun way! I die cut two of the frames, layered the two together, tilting the back layer slightly, so that it peeks out from behind the front layer. I trimmed off the edges of the pure poppy layer, so that together, they still fit perfectly on a card front, but this way, you get the benefit of a really "full", layered tree!
I added a few adhesive pearls to dress up the tree even more.
For the sentiment, I used two of the words from Birthday Classics: January! They're stamped with smokey shadow ink.
All right, friends....I'm off for now, but you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Melissa Phillips, & Heather Nichols for lots more sneak peeks. Betsy Veldman, Lizzie Jones, Lexi Daly, Erin Lincoln and Melissa Bickford will have peeks at their new sets as well.
Thanks for being here! I'll see you again tomorrow!
