Hi-ya! Welcome back for Day 2 of the Papertrey January Countdown! I've got several 2015 Birthday Tags cards to share today, and of course we can't leave out the Cable Gram stamp set and Cover Plate: Chinatown die, so let's get right to the projects, shall we?
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on January 15 at 10pm EST.
For this first card, I stamped quite a few of the different tags from 2015 Birthday Tags, on white card stock that was die cut with a 2 1/4" Oval Limitless Layers die. There are 8 of these tags included in 2015 Birthday Tags (plus a few other bits and pieces), and I used 5 of them here.
All of the tags have simply chartreuse card stock frames behind them, using those same Limitless Layers dies, however the tags were stamped in a variety of greens and teals. I also used 3 of the different Limitless Layers dies for added interest.
The tags were adhered flat on the card front, with the exception of the hawaiian shores tag, which was adhered with foam adhesive for a little pop.
Next up, is the tag from 2015 Birthday Tags, that features flowers that coordinate with the Ruby Rose stamp set. I used various images from Ruby Rose to create the scene behind the flower, and then stamped the tag in limeade ice ink, layered on a new leaf pinked-edge oval.
This card is a 4 1/4" square.....I really should make square cards more often. It's fun to change it up a bit!
Next up, this card pairs 2015 Birthday Tags with a new set of "party" dies (see Nichole's blog for all the details about those!).
I die cut the three "party" strips and adhered them on some pure poppy bitty dot paper, that was layered on the white card base. A couple strips of tropical teal and simply chartreuse card stock were die cut with the small scalloped border die and adhered on the left. Lastly, I stamped the birthday tag twice on two die cut ovals, and then trimmed off the "birthday" strip to adhere on top of the berry sorbet stamp. You could also achieve a similar look with some simple masking.
One more for you today....this one pairs a couple of smaller images from 2015 Birthday Tags with Cable Gram! I love how they almost look like little street signs!
The cable car was stamped with raspberry fizz and berry sorbet inks, and for this car, I used the same "Happy Birthday" sign twice, stamped in pure poppy ink. Instead of stamping the headlight, I added a harvest gold button.
The scalloped strip was cut with the heart border die and I trimmed out the two sentiments from 2015 Birthday Tags with paper snips.
That's it for me today, but I hope you enjoyed today's projects!
Don't forget to visit Nichole Heady, Heather Nichols, Maile Belles & Ashley Newell for lots more sneak peeks. Erin Lincoln, Lizzie Jones, Lexi Daly and Melissa Bickford will have peeks at their new sets as well.
Thanks for being here....I'll see you tomorrow!
