Hi there!
Welcome back for another fun Papertrey Group Post! Today, we're showcasing a new stamp set designed by Nichole Heady, called Baker's Dozen, featuring cupcakes for each month of the year! And since there are cupcakes specific to each month, they pair perfectly with the entire Birthday Classics series! I put the two sets together, on this first card!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on January 15 at 10pm EST.
I used the Baker's Dozen dies to cut out the cupcake as well as the cute little frame. I colored the cupcake with my Copic markers, and stamped the frame with the coordinating frame image from the Baker's Dozen stamp set. The set comes with a variety of sentiments, however I chose to use several from Birthday Classics: June. I simply curved the "wishing you a beautiful" on the stamp block, so that it fit the frame! Perfect!
The cupcake is sitting on a new die cut -- a set of cake plate dies that Nichole will be telling you all about! See her blog for details.
Underneath the frame, I finished out the sentiment with pieces from Birthday Classics: June...."June" and "Birthday". A small strip of tropical teal card stock as well as some new leaf card stock that was cut with the heart border die, were added along the bottom of the card.
For this cheery card, I decided to use lots of different cupcakes from Baker's Dozen! I die cut a bunch of them and the heat embossed them all with white embossing powder. I lined them up in rows to create a fun background.
For the sentiment, I used the Baker's Dozen dies, to cut out this little banner and then stamped it with coordinating banner and sentiment stamps from the set. I adhered the banner on a strip of kraft card stock.
Next up, I paired Cable Gram up with another new set and dies this month, that Nichole will be telling you all about!
I stamped the cable car from Cable Gram with ripe avocado ink, and then stamped the trim and window frame portions with tropical teal and new leaf inks. The "Thank you" signs were stamped with ripe avocado, as well as the little "22". The headlight was stamped with summer sunrise.
To the left of the cable car, I added a strip of tropical teal card stock that was die cut with the large scalloped border die.
I die cut the two banner pieces from new leaf and tropical teal card stock and then stamped the "THANKS" from the coordinating stamp set with ripe avocado ink.
One more for today....the colors on this one just make me happy!
I used Erin Lincoln's new Stitched Swirls stamps and dies, to create the little flourish above and below the oval tag. The stitching was stamped in pure poppy ink, on the berry sorbet panel.
The tag from 2015 Birthday Tags was stamped twice in pure poppy ink -- once on berry sorbet card stock and once on white. I trimmed the sentiment off the white tag and adhered it on the berry sorbet tag, and then layered all of that on a scalloped pure poppy oval that was die cut with a Limitless Layers: 2 1/4" oval die.
Along the bottom of the card, are strips of summer sunrise, tropical teal and new leaf card stock. The teal layer was die cut with the small scalloped border die and some black baker's twine finished things off.
That's it for me today, but the rest of the team has lots more to share, so be sure to go check out their Baker's Dozen projects!
