Hi there and Happy New Year!!! Holy cow, it's 2015! I hope you had a great New Year's Eve celebration and I hope that today, you're getting a bit of rest as we kick off the new year!
As always, the first of every month, means it's time for the Senior Design Team Challenge at Papertrey Ink, where we pull out an older stamp set and give it some love by putting it to good use! This month, we're highlighting the Love Lives Here stamp set. It's one of those sets that you can reach for again and again, for a variety of occasions, making it a great big bang for your crafty buck!
Let me tell you a bit about my card....
I decided to pair the circle images with the butterfly image.....I just love that butterfly. I used the Love Lives Here dies, to cut out 5 butterflies and then stamped 5 circle combos on my white card stock. The butterflies and circles are all stamped in the following 5 colors.....hawaiian shores, new leaf, ripe avocado, tropical teal and limeade ice. Each butterfly was adhered with a bit of scor-tape just in the middle of the butterfly. That way, the wings could be pulled forward just a bit.
I used the heart border die to cut out some smokey shadow bitty dot paper and adhered it, scalloped edge out, behind the white card stock panel. The whole panel was adhered on a white card base.
The sentiment -- also from Love Lives Here -- was stamped with smokey shadow ink to coordinate with the scalloped border. TIP: For ease of placement, I stamped the sentiment first and then added all the circles around it. That way, you get the sentiment placed exactly where you want it!
All right, friends.....I'm off for now, but you'll want to check out what the other girls have done with Love Lives Here today!
