Hi there!
It's time for the first Papertrey Group Post of this month's countdown! We're focusing on the new Monthly Moments products today.....I think you're gonna like 'em! ;)
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on January 15 at 10pm EST.
I love the soft colors included in the journal card pad this month....very wintery. So with that in mind, I busted out some aqua mist card stock for my card base and then used one of the new journaling cards, to hold my focal point. I used the Monthly Moments: January stamps and dies, to create all the little bits and pieces. And then I die cut some kraft card stock with the new Monthly Moments: Journal Card #8 die, and let it peek out from behind the "January" panel. I love those polka dots!
And now, how about a Cable Gram card? :)
To start off, I embossed the Cover Plate: Chinatown die on my white card base and then colored in the rooftops, windows, awnings and lanterns with Copic markers. Next, I die cut a white layer with the Cover Plate: Chinatown die and adhered it right over the top of my card base, creating a crisp white outline around all the colored portions.
For the cable car, I die cut some hawaiian shores card stock with the Cable Gram die and after stamping the outline image with smokey shadow ink, stamped just one of the car shading images with new leaf ink. I left the trim around the windows as is, since the card stock is already colored.
The two sentiment "signs" are stamped in tropical teal ink, and an orange rhinestone was added for the headlight!
One more project for you before I go.....of course I had to show you some birthday tags made with 2015 Birthday Tags!
These are so fast and easy to make! Simply die cut 3 scalloped ovals from white card stock and stamp the tag images directly on the scalloped layer.
Then, die cut two each of the tags, one from card stock and one from patterned paper, using the Basic Bookmark dies. Trim a bit off the top of the patterned paper layer, add a strip of white card stock behind the patterned paper and adhere the whole thing to the front of the card stock layer. Easy peasy! But aren't they so pretty to look at?! And they'll look even prettier tied on to a gift! Just think.....you could make these in every color of the rainbow and then you're prepared for just about any gift-wrapping need!
Ok, I'm off for now, but be sure to check out the entire team's Monthly Moments projects today!
