Hi there!
Welcome back for another fun Papertrey Group Post! Those of you that have been begging for more little buildings dies and stamps from Betsy, are in for a treat! She's got a new group of products that we're focusing on today, that include the Petite Places: Church stamp set and dies, Petite Places: Pop Up Trees dies and the Scene It: Everyday, Skyscapes and Basic Backer dies. All of these can be used on cards or of course, in clear domes as tags or jar toppers.
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on February 15 at 10pm EST.
For this first project, I created a gift tag using one of the clear domes and several of these new goodies. I used the Scene It: Basic Backer die to cut out the white scalloped back layer. Next, I topped that with the hawaiian shores layer that was die cut with a Scene It: Skycapes die, followed by 3 Scene It: Everyday layers (ripe avocado, new leaf and tropical teal.) I stamped a sentiment from Petite Places: Church on the front tree layer using tropical teal ink.
Next, I used the Petite Places: Church dies and stamps to create the little 3-D church! How fun is that?! So darn cute. I adhered it with some foam adhesive, to keep it level and then topped the whole thing with a clear dome, securing it with liquid glue around the edges.
I've also got a card I created using some of these same goodies. For this one, I started out with a white card base and added some of the wide striped vellum over the top, on which I stamped a sentiment from Petite Places: Church.
For the focal point, I used the Scene It: Basic Backer die on some summer sunrise card stock. Next, I die cut the sunburst with a Scene It: Skyscapes die from white card stock and inked it with summer sunrise and raspberry fizz inks using an ink blending tool. I also used a few of the clouds that were popped out of another Scene It: Skycapes die cut, to pop on top. Lastly, I die cut that cute little aqua mist church (who says churches can't be aqua?!) ;) .....and stamped it with the coordinating image from Petite Places: Church.
How about we switch gears a bit for this one? I used the Enclosed: Flower stamps and dies for this card. On the kraft card base, I stamped the leaves from Leave It Be, with versamark ink and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. At the bottom of the card, I stamped two of the sentiments from Enclosed: Flower with smokey shadow ink.
For the flower itself, I decided to create a big ole ruffly flower, by layering three of the die cut Enclosed: Flowers. There is a pure poppy layer, a raspberry fizz layer and the top is a berry sorbet layer, on which I stamped the flower petals from Enclosed: Flower with raspberry fizz and pure poppy inks. I topped the flower with a great big raspberry fizz button threaded with black baker's twine.
One more for you today......I thought I'd show you a fun way to use the Enclosed: Flower set and the Tucked In: Mother set together! Firstly, I die cut the Enclosed: Flower from a piece of white linen card stock.
I then laid the white layer over the top of the aqua mist card base to use as a guide and stamped the larger flower shading image from Enclosed: Flower with versamark ink. Then, over the top of that, I stamped one of the sentiments from Tucked In: Mother, using tropical teal ink. Lastly, I stamped some leaves from Leave It Be on the white layer, and popped it up on the card front with foam adhesive.
All right, friends....since it's group post day, that means that all of the other girls on the team have projects to share with you too, so be sure to visit each one!
