Hello, friends! It's officially time for Papertrey's 8th Anniversary festivities to kick off and I say, let's get this party started!! Let me tell you, you are in for a MAJOR treat over the next 10 days, as we countdown to this month's release on February 15! Each day, Nichole will be announcing new products that will be coming out this month and contests for you to enter and prizes that you can win! Papertrey is giving away tons of free goodies in the next 10 days! It's gonna be so fun!
For today, Nichole is introducing the 2015 Design Team and the Stamp Designers to you. I'm so happy and honored to be on both of those teams......I joined the design team in July of 2008 (gosh, that’s almost 7 years ago!) and began designing products shortly thereafter, with my very first stamp set (Damask Designs) being released the following February, 2009. (Some of you have been around since way back then! Thank you!) Since then, I've released 90 stamp sets (!!) and lots and lots of dies and other products as well, and there's lots more to come in the year ahead!
Today, each of the Papertrey designers get to share with you, our 8 favorite projects from the last year. It's always so hard to narrow them down, but I managed to pick 8 favorites that I love. As you can see, I clearly have a thing for flowers (but that's true of me in real life too -- just look at my instagram feed!).....and bright, fun color combinations! I also love these projects because of the products used on them. Some of them include stamp sets that I had the pleasure of designing myself, and some of them (like Lizzie's Pyrex-inspired bowls) just make me think of things I love in real life! And I love that a lot of these projects show that you don't have to have every tool in the book in order to create something pretty. When it comes right down to it, you just need some really great stamps and gorgeous inks to work with. The rest is just gravy! (I'm not saying gravy is a bad thing at all!! I love gravy! Hahaha!)
I also think that these projects are a pretty great representation of ME in my every day life......I love the Lord with all my heart and so the Bible verse bookmarks and card, represent a huge part of my life. I love to read, so two sets of bookmarks show you that my books (and Bible) are full of these pretty little jewels! I love to give gifts, so that pile of gift tags makes me SO happy to look at! I love things that are vintage and things that are bright and cheery. I love gorgeous script-y fonts (like the "Just because" on the bowl card). I LOVE vintage quilts (like my no-sew quilt card) and I'm someone who feels super grateful for all I've been blessed with, which you see a hint of in the 'thank you' cards.
I shared a few special thoughts about my love for this company and my job and the girls I get to work with, which you can read on Nichole's blog, but I thought I'd share a humorous moment from behind the scenes this past year too. For each group post, we're given an assignment and we each create projects for that assignment and turn them in to Nichole, who prepares graphics she uses on her blog, featuring those project photos. One month, literally half of the design team decided to stamp the same bird from Songbirds, in the same color (red!) for our group post! We all have such different styles, so it was pretty funny that so many of our projects had a similar feel that day! That usually never happens!
I'm super excited about the year ahead.....I have lots of fun new stamps and dies coming your way and can't wait for you to see them all! I look forward to growing as a stamp designer and as a paper crafter. I look forward to sharing here and hopefully getting to know some of you better, thanks to your comments (yes, I do email back sometimes, when time allows!). And I look forward to sharing my love of paper crafting with you all!
I'm super grateful for the opportunity to do just that so I hope you'll join me! Thank you for spending some of your time here, with me....I appreciate each one of you! I appreciate you reading this blog of mine, I appreciate each and every comment you leave, and I appreciate each purchase you've made of Raspberry Suite products, from Papertrey! You've blessed me and I'm so grateful!
