Hi there! It's time for the Papertrey March Countdown and this month, as you've already seen in the sneak peeks, I've got a couple new stamp sets coming out....the next editions in the Enclosed and Tucked In series'! First up, let's talk about Enclosed: Graduate! The stamp set features several sentiment building options including "class of" dates clear through 2024! There are also tassel stamps, to coordinate with the tassel dies, so you can add your own tassels in any color you'd like! This makes it super fun (and easy!) to use the graduate's school colors when making cards and gift tags!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on March 15 at 10pm EST.
For this darling little gift, I used a simple white gift box and tied it up with some tulle and added a graduation gift tag! That's it -- easy peasy -- and you've got a super cute gift ready to go! Tuck in some money, a gift card or any other small gift you'd like!
For the tag, I die cut some summer sunrise card stock with the Enclosed: Basic Folded Tag die (which was released last month) and then used the Enclosed: Graduate dies to cut out the smokey shadow graduation cap, the white "congrats" frame and the tassel. I stamped the "Congrats" with a stamp from Enclosed: Graduate, using summer sunrise ink, as well as the tassel. The 'button' at the base of the tassel was stamped with smokey shadow ink.
A bit of black baker's twine was used to tie the tag to the bow and I stamped a couple other sentiments from Enclosed: Graduate inside the tag -- "So happy for you" and "Graduate".
For this card, I die cut the main graduation cap twice -- once from hawaiian shores card stock and once from tropical teal. I snipped off the mortarboard portion on the tropical teal layer using the die cut line as a guide and adhered it with foam adhesive, over the top of the hawaiian shores layer. (Again, you could totally use the graduate's school colors here!) Lastly, the new leaf tassel was added and the "Congrats" sentiment was stamped directly on the graduation cap.
For the background, I "smooshed" some ink and water onto the card stock to create a watercolor look and then stamped Background Basics: Newsprint over the top with smokey shadow ink. I used a very light hand when inking the background, so that I'd get a somewhat 'aged' newspaper look.
On the inside of the card, I stamped one of the sentiments from the new Tucked In: Congratulations stamp set!
I also used a couple of little stamps from Enclosed: Graduate, to add the "class of 2015"!
One more for today.....this time, I used one of the new Tucked In: Congratulations sentiments on a baby card! I stamped the whale from Whale Wishes repeatedly, to create an ombre background pattern.
I added a simple strip of new leaf card stock to the front, with the "welcome, baby" stamp from Whale Wishes.
On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from Tucked In: Congratulations in new leaf ink, as well as the whale in hawaiian shores ink and the water drops (also from Whale Wishes) in tropical teal ink.
I love that these Tucked In: Congratulations sentiments can be applied to a variety of different happy occasions!
That's all I've got for you today, but you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Betsy Veldman, Heather Nichols and Maile Belles for lots more sneak peeks. Erin Lincoln and Lizzie Jones will have peeks at their new sets as well.
