Hello there! It's Day 2 of the Papertrey March Countdown and today, I get to help introduce you to some new stamps and dies designed by Betsy Veldman, called You've Been Framed. There are three different $5 stamp sets -- You've Been Framed: Diamond, You've Been Framed: Hexagon and You've Been Framed: Oval and each one has coordinating dies to coordinate with the set! I've used all of them today, so let's get right to it!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on March 15 at 10pm EST.
First up, is You've Been Framed: Hexagon. I started out with a melon berry card base and then used the You've Been Framed: Hexagon die, to cut out the berry sorbet frame. I also die cut it again, from fresh snow linen card stock, and that is where I stamped all of the focal elements.
I put a piece of bitty dot vellum behind the berry sorbet frame. As for the hexagon focal point, I stamped the main frame in berry sorbet ink followed by the stripes image in pure poppy and the "Thank You" sentiment in melon berry. Lastly, I used one of the companion dies from You've Been Framed: Hexagon, to cut out the little berry sorbet banner and stamped it with pure poppy ink followed by the "for everything" sentiment in smokey shadow.
Next up is You've Been Framed: Oval, and this one just goes to show that you don't have to spend a ton of time to make a really classy, modern card! Again, I die cut the You've Been Framed: Oval die from both new leaf and stamper's select white card stock, using the oval portion to stamp elements from the You've Been Framed: Oval stamp set on. And notice that this time, I turned the frame upside down, so the oval is positioned at the bottom of the card rather than the top.
Tucked behind the green frame is some gold luxe foil patterned paper in a wide stripe. The three elements I used from the You've Been Framed: Oval stamp set, were stamped with limeade ice, tropical teal and new leaf inks.
And lest you think you can only use these new little stamp sets with their coordinating dies, let me just show you this card! :) I used tiny little floral elements from You've Been Framed: Oval to create the floral background here.
I used 5 little stamps and 5 different ink colors, played around with an arrangement till I stamped one that I really liked and then I just repeated it again and again for the background.
For the sentiment, I used one of the new sentiments from Tucked In: Congratulations and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder! It's stamped on a half & half die cut that I trimmed off at the edge of the card.
This card would work well for all sorts of happy occasions -- new job, new home, new baby and more!
For this next card, I used You've Been Framed: Diamond, but instead of die cutting the coordinating frame, I embossed it directly into the card front.
The above photo shows a little better, just how deep those impression lines are! I stamped three different decorative elements from You've Been Framed: Diamond, as well as the sentiment, using berry sorbet and pure poppy inks.
Ok, I've got one more for you before I go. How about a bit of a girly graduation card featuring Enclosed: Graduate? :)
I die cut the Enclosed: Graduate frame die from pure poppy card stock and the main graduation cap from both berry sorbet and bitty dot vellum card stock. I stamped the "You did it!" from Enclosed: Graduate on the berry sorbet layer. The vellum was snipped off (there are just two little places to snip on either side of the die cut, making it super easy to make the top of the cap a different color) so that I could make the top of the cap polka dotted. Tucked behind the "Congrats" frame, I added the die cut tassel.
The whole graduation cap was layered on a basic bookmark #3 die cut.
For the background, I simply stamped "Congrats" and "graduate" from Enclosed: Graduate, repeatedly.
Inside the card, I added another of the Tucked In: Congratulations sentiments as well as a few more elements from You've Been Framed: Oval.
All righty, I'm off for now! But be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Melissa Phillips, Laura Bassen and Danielle Flanders for lots more sneak peeks. Betsy Veldman, Erin Lincoln, Heather Nichols, Lizzie Jones and Maile Belles will have peeks at their new sets as well.
See you again tomorrow, friends....
