Hi there!
Welcome back for another fun Papertrey Group Post! Today, we're showcasing a variety of new pencil-y products including the Pencil Me In stamp set and dies, Pencilgrams stamp set, Pencil Me In paper collection and Pencil Papers adhesive label collection, all by Lexi Daly. We're also showing peeks at the new Pencil Pouch and Trim dies by Erin Lincoln.
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on April 15 at 10pm EST.
So, to get started, here's a look at my whole little coordinated set.
Color coordination just makes me happy. Haha. We're often given the option to either color coordinate our assignment projects or not. Mine will likely always be color coordinated! :) I can't help it! :)
First up, here's a better look at the pencil pouch I made using Erin's new Pencil Pouch and Trim dies. I used hibiscus burst, autumn rose and vintage cream felt. I found some small magnets at JoAnn's and stitched them under the little circles on the front of the pouch, as well as under the circles on the inside (see below)....
Here's what it looks like when it's opened up. Those two little circles have a magnet stitched under each. That way, it stays shut! This would be super cute tucked into a backpack or purse. Granted, it's not long enough to fit full sized pencils, but pens and mechanical pencils fit great!
Next up is a set of pencils I made using the new Pencil Papers adhesive labels. So you literally just take any old pencil -- I bought a big box of plain yellow #2 pencils at Target -- and just wrap them with these adhesive backed pencil wrappers! So EASY!
TIP: DO NOT sharpen these with an electric pencil sharpener or the adhesive on the wrappers can gum up the sharpener! ;) They sharpen easily with a regular manual pencil sharpener though.
At the top of the wrappers is a little blank space for you to personalize them with stamps! I used the new Pencilgrams stamp set to add some little images and sentiments in coordinating colors.
And of course, there's a card for this little gift set! I used the new Pencil Me In stamp set and Pencil Me In paper collection, to create this little ditty! The papers have different lined or grid patterns....I love this gray notebook paper pattern....I stamped a stack of pencils on it, as well as the sentiment, also from Pencil Me In.
The pencils were stamped with hibiscus burst, aqua mist, new leaf, soft stone and smokey shadow inks.
Next up, how about we shift gears a bit? Here's a little lunchbox notecard set for a girl, featuring my new Lunchbox Love stamp set! I did some more ink "smooshing" to create the watercolor look on the stamper's select white 3-3/4" card bases. Once those were dry (heat tool helps this along!), I stamped a sentiment or two on each, from Lunchbox Love. Lastly, each was topped with a coordinating die cut Life Is Beautiful butterfly and a matching button!
The sentiments were stamped with smokey shadow ink. For the card not the right (pure poppy), I stamped two sentiments from Lunchbox Love -- the "Have a great day" and "Sweetie" are separate, so if you don't call your kiddo "Sweetie", you don't have to use that one!
And a closer look at the other two. I love the "I'm sorry it's hard" sentiment.......that could really apply to so many things in a little one's life.
And another group shot, just cause they're so pretty in a pile! :) Make up a bunch and pull them out whenever your little one needs a pick-me-up!
Lastly for today, is a card featuring Enclosed: Apple and Tucked In: Thank You! The nice thing about this card is it could totally work for a guy teacher OR a lady! Guy cards can be tough sometimes, so I think this one works perfectly.....plus, Granny Smith apples are my favorite. ;)
On the white background panel, I stamped the "Thanks" and "For all you do" from Enclosed: Apple, using soft stone ink. As for the apple itself, it was cut out with Enclosed: Apple dies and new leaf and simply chartreuse card stock. The "Teacher" and "For everything" stamps are also from Enclosed: Apple, as well as all of the shading images on the leaves. An extra leaf was die cut and added to the top of the apple, along with a cute little button!
On the inside of the card, I stamped one of the Tucked In: Thank You sentiments as well as a couple of Enclosed: Apple leaves as an accent.
All right friends, I'm off for now, but I hope you've enjoyed today's post! Be sure to visit the rest of the girls on the Design Team for lots more inspiration!
