Hi-ya! We're back for one more Papertrey Group Post today and this time, we're sharing peeks at Betsy Veldman's newest Make It Market mini kit -- Wee Folk! It's all about babies and you'll love how these darling products allow you to either stamp to your heart's content or whip up fast and easy cards on the run!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on April 15 at 10pm EST.
To get started, I've got a quickie baby boy card for you, although the more I look at it, I think it'd work just as well for a baby girl! :)
I started out with an aqua mist card base and then really just let one of the Wee Folk patterned papers and some of the pre-printed images do all the work for me! The little fox and deer are pre-printed and you simply use the outline around them, to line up the die to cut them out. So easy! I stamped the two little sentiments and flourishes from Wee Folk, on some Keep It Simple Frames die cuts.
Lastly, I tied on some twine and added some wooden buttons -- all from the Wee Folk mini kit! A seriously quick but oh-so-cute card!
Next up, I wanted to do quite a bit of stamping myself. This allowed me to choose colors completely different from the printed papers in the kit.....I went with hibiscus burst, orange zest, summer sunrise, dark chocolate and a smidge of hawaiian shores. Each of these images are tiny little stamps, so you can build your own little floral clusters any which way you'd like. I opted to dress up the corners of this card.
I started by stamping the largest flowers and then filling in with leaves, then the tulips (since they're the second largest), followed by the smaller flowers and smallest leaves here and there. The sentiments from Wee Folk were tucked into the bottom flower cluster, and I stamped and die cut a little deer, topping it with a tiny heart button, also from the kit.
Before I go, you know I have a few other projects to share with you! ;) First up, here's a quick and colorful card you could create for your little in any color combo you choose! I paired Lunchbox Love with Watercolor Wonder.
This is two different sentiments from Lunchbox Love, so again, leave one off, use them both or add even more.....Lunchbox Love gives you tons of options!
Next up is a teacher card with a few fun goodies on it! I started out with a piece of the new Pencil Me In patterned paper and used the new Moments Inked: Edged dies to create the notebook paper edge.
Next, I used the Enclosed: Apple dies to cut out the pure poppy apple and the extra raspberry fizz leaf. I stamped images from Enclosed: Apple on the leaves, as well as three sentiments from the set. I topped the leaves with some red sequins and tucked one of the new Number Clips die cuts onto the top of the apple. I used the 4 here but you could use whichever number represented the grade your kiddo is in.
After that, I created a shaker element using the new Shaker Shapes: Pencil dies! How fun are those tiny letters and numbers included with the sequins in the pencil part of the shaker? Those are dies included in this Shaker Shapes set!
The die allows you to create two separate shaker elements, if you want, making the pencil portion a different color. So much fun! And I die cut the "metal" portion of the pencil, from some of Papertrey's silver card stock.
At the bottom of the card, I added one more sentiment from Enclosed: Apple to finish things off.
And here's one more little wrapper idea for you....this is just a simple pre-printed kraft gift bag I picked up at Target. They came about 8 or so, to a bag. They're perfect for tucking in a card and a gift card! So simple!
I used the new Scene It: Doily Tag Base die paired with the Enclosed: Apple dies (they're a perfect fit!), to create this fun tag, and just ran a strip of ruched ribbon from Hobby Lobby, through the slits on the tag. This wrap could be given to a teacher, but would could also work for any other lady that you wanted to say "Thanks" to!
Ok, I'm off for now, but don't forget to visit each of my friends on the Design Team to see their Wee Folk inspiration!!
