Hello there!
Ok, so I'm back with another of the "smooshing" cards I made this week....again, I smooshed ink onto some watercolor card stock using Betsy's MIM tutorial from a few weeks back. Seriously, do this. You'll have so much fun! Just get out all your inks and several pieces of card stock and just go to town! Then you can leave them all to dry for a bit and come back to some little masterpieces to use on your cards!
So for this one, I used watercolor card stock (from Michael's) for the smooshing panel. I used a couple of Tim Holtz distress inks to get those rich pink and red tones. Then, when it was dry, I stamped the sentiment from Flower Favorites with smokey shadow ink.
As for that gorgeous iris, I die cut it from stamper's select white card stock and stamped the two main flower pieces with the same Tim Holtz picked raspberries ink as on the watercolored bit, as well as some Pure Poppy for the red portion of the flower. The flower's center has Summer Sunrise topped with Tim Holtz' wild honey. The leaves and stems were stamped with New Leaf ink and the little bud was again, stamped with Pure Poppy ink.
Such a gorgeous flower set.....I've still got more ideas of things I'd like to make with this one! In the meantime, I've got one more from this little series that I'll share with you tomorrow, so I hope you'll stop back by!
Smooches!
