Hello there! It's time for the Papertrey May Countdown and this month, I've got lots of fun new products to share with you! I've got some great new basics, some sentiments that you've been asking for for ages and some more additions to my two monthly series! Can't wait for you to see it all....let's get right to it, shall we?!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on May 15 at 10pm EST.
First off, I'm happy to introduce you to a new sentiment stamp set called Watercooler Talk, that is something you've been asking for for ages! It's full of sentiments geared toward the coworkers and occasions that take place in the office. The nice thing is that you can mix and match the sentiments to create a really wide variety of phrases and the mix of fonts allows you to customize your card for a man or a woman.
In addition to Watercoolor Talk, I've got two stamp sets and dies to coordinate with it! You know how sometimes you need to make a card for a guy, but you don't really know what image to use because you don't really know the guy that well? That's where these new stamps come in!! Center Style: Masculine and Center Style: Feminine each feature a main die that can serve as the base for your focal images and sentiments as well as a few smaller companion dies to give you even more design options. There are also Center Style: Masculine and Center Style: Feminine mini stamp sets (just $5 each!) that feature a few images that coordinate with these dies. All together, they allow you to make a card for a guy or a lady, that is polished and professional and you don't need to know if that guy likes to play golf or what that lady's hobby is! :)
To get things started, here's Center Style: Feminine because, well.....ladies first. :)
I used the main Center Style: Feminine die to cut out some smokey shadow card stock. Isn't that such a pretty shape?! Right off the bat, I couldn't resist pairing it with some flowers because you know I can never resist flowers! :) I stamped two different sentiments from Watercooler Talk using versamark ink and then heat embossed them with white embossing powder. Then I stamped the sentiments again, over the top, using fresh snow ink, slightly off-setting the words to create a hint of a shadow. After that, I sponged on a bit more fresh snow ink, using a circular motion, to create that chalkboard finish.
Brushed Blooms stamps and dies were used to create all those colorful flowers!
Along the bottom of the "chalkboard", I stamped one of the images from Center Style: Feminine, again heat embossing it with white embossing powder.
Now how about a peek at Center Style: Masculine?
Here is a classic case of a really quick card you can create for a guy, using these handy new products! The Center Style: Masculine die was used to cut out some kraft card stock and then I stamped two of the same image from Center Style: Masculine -- one at the top and one at the bottom -- using terracotta tile ink.
The sentiment is two separate stamps from Watercooler Talk....the set includes a few different work holidays that can be paired with the "Happy". Below the Center Style: Masculine die cut, I added a strip of dark chocolate card stock that was impressed with the Woodgrain Impression Plate.
Like I said earlier, I think you'll find a gazillion uses for these Center Style stamps and dies, even apart from the Watercooler Talk stamp set! Here, I paired the Center Style: Masculine die with one of the new Tucked In: Father's Day sentiments!
I did a little masking with some scotch tape, and stamped the "Happy Father's Day" on a separate strip of card stock, so I could pop it up with foam adhesive. There are two sentiments in the Tucked In: Father's Day stamp set and this is one of them. As always, these stamps were designed to be used on the inside of cards, however I think you'll see again this week, that they work beautifully on card fronts as well!
Behind the Center Style: Masculine layer, are some leaves from Leave It Be, stamped in versamark ink on the new leaf card base.
And of course, we can't forget the newest Enclosed products!! Allow me to introduce you to Enclosed: Star!
For the card, I die cut three of the solid stars using the Enclosed: Star dies, as well as one of the "Super" star dies. The three solid stars are cut from aqua mist, hawaiian shores and new leaf card stock. The "Super" frame was cut from tropical teal card stock.
For the "Super" star, I stamped two sentiments from Enclosed: Star, to create the phrase "You are a super star".
And as for that pretty star up top, I stamped one of the star detail images from Enclosed: Star, five times...once in each of the star "points". It's really easy to line up because you just tuck it up into the point of the star each time and when you're done, look at that pretty center detail that is created when each of the star pieces overlap!! Lastly, I stamped the teeny star from Enclosed: Star right in the center....the perfect little finishing touch.
OH, how I love that bottom star! I used another of the detail images from Enclosed: Star -- stripes this time -- and again, I stamped it five times, once in each of the points. As you can see with this one, it stamps right off the edge of the die cut, so again, it's super easy to line up. Also, note that it overlaps slightly in the middle each time you stamp it, which creates an additional bit of star detail, not to mention the cool "blank space" in the center, that turns into another star!
For the tag, I started out with another star just like the one previously described -- it's hawaiian shores card stock with new leaf ink stamped over the top. Then, I die cut one of the "Super" stars from white card stock and layered it over the top and stamped the "I think you're" from Enclosed: Star, using smokey shadow ink.
I added another white "Super" star die cut over the top of the first one, to give it a bit of thickness and put the whole star on a Basic Bookmark #1 die cut. I also stamped the "for you" and teeny stars from Enclosed: Star as accents.
Whew! That's it for today, but I have LOTS more to show you throughout the countdown, so I hope you'll pop back by every day! So much to see! What do you think so far?
For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Betsy Veldman, & Maile Belles for lots more sneak peeks. Erin Lincoln, Maile Belles, Lizzie Jones and Lexi Daly will have peeks at their new sets as well.
Have a really great Sunday, friends...and a Happy Mother's Day to each one of you with a mama's heart, whether you have children or not!
