Hi there!
Welcome back for another fun Papertrey Group Post! Pull up a chair and stay awhile! Today, we're focusing on Betsy Veldman's newest Make It Market Mini Kit: Garden Gild. If you love gold and flowers and the look of watercolor, then you're going to love this kit!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on May 15 at 10pm EST.
My first card is super simple.....I used one of the patterned papers from Garden Gild, and simply added two little sentiment stamps -- "With" and "On your birthday" -- from Garden Gild. The rest....that "smooshed" watercolor look....is all patterned paper!
I used one of the new dies from the kit -- this cover plate style die, and die cut 3 of them. I simply stacked them up and layered them on the patterned paper, which is adhered to a white card base. Super simple!
For this card, I wanted more detail and more 'fluff', so I stamped three of the sentiment stamps from Garden Gild on a white card base and then layered on a white cover plate die cut.
Next, I used the other flower dies from the kit, to cut out lots of little bits and pieces which I adhered over the cover plate portion.
I love all the texture that all of these die cuts provide!
Of course, I have a few more cards to show you too, including this one featuring Watercooler Talk and Center Style: Feminine. I layered a piece of luxe gold patterned paper on an aqua mist card base, to start.
Next, I die cut a Center Style: Feminine die from aqua mist card stock and stamped three different sentiments from Watercooler Talk using new leaf and tropical teal inks. Along the bottom of the Center Style die cut, I stamped several detail images from Center Style: Feminine and then added some Quilted: Summer die cut flowers that were stamped with hawaiian shores and tropical teal inks.
Ahhh.....now this card is to show you that even though it's called Center Style: Masculine, you can still use it to create decidedly FEMININE cards!! Just change up your colors and add some flowers and you've got a great girly card!
The flowers are from Quilted: Spring and I stamped two different images on the die cut, from Center Style: Masculine followed by two different sentiments from Watercooler Talk, using limeade ice ink.
Here's a fun little card I whipped up with Enclosed: Star.....I stamped the green star points directly on the aqua mist card base and then added a die cut star in aqua mist, over the top. I just used the die cut as a guide and eyeballed where to stamp the green points. It was fairly simple to do.
I added a tiny green star to the center of the die cut flower.
The two sentiments are both from Enclosed: Star and were stamped on white card stock strips that I stitched to the card front with my sewing machine.
One more for today.....here's a card for Dad using Tucked In: Father's Day.
The papers at the top are from Heather Nichols' new Three Piece Suit patterned paper collection. I just cut strips and layered them over the top of my die cut tag.
I created the tag with the Basic Bookmark #1 die and smokey shadow card stock. I masked off the bottom portion of the sentiment and stamped the top with versamark ink directly on the tag, and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then, I masked off the top and stamped the bottom portion on white card stock with blueberry sky ink, to match the card base.
All right, I'm off for now, but I hope you've enjoyed today's projects!! Don't forget to visit the other girls on the team!
