Hi there!
Welcome back for another fun Papertrey Group Post! Today, the entire team is highlighting some new book-inspired products that I think you're going to love! Erin Lincoln has designed a stamp set called Bibliophile as well as a couple of companion die collections that are really fun and Nichole Heady has designed the cutest ever card die, that turns your card into what looks like a book! Adorable! I've put these goodies to work on a couple of cards to show you today....let's get right to them!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on July 15 at 10pm EST.
First up, I used Nichole's new Book Cover Card die to cut out some aqua mist card stock, as well as one of the companion dies from the set, on some white card stock to create the "pages" of the book.
At the top of the card, and on the book spine as well, I stamped some sentiments and a flourish from Nichole's new Book Cover Details stamp set. Beneath that, I added the "Happy Anniversary" from my previously released Book Club set.
At the bottom of the card, I stamped some flowers and leaves from Vintage Linens.
And on the inside of the card, I stamped one of the sentiments from Book Club, along with a detail image from the new Book Cover Details set.
Next up, I used Erin's new Bibliophile set and dies, as well as her new Fancy Teacup dies to create this cheery little card. For the bit of steam coming out of the teacup, I used a stamp from the previously released Candy Cane Christmas set.
Each of the bits stamped on the book spines, as well as the sentiment components, are all from Bibliophile. And all of the book parts were cut out with the Bibliophile dies.
As for the Fancy Teacup, there are two dies in the set, and I layered the solid teacup (new leaf card stock) behind the detailed teacup (hawaiian shores card stock). Such a cute look!
I've also got several more cards to show you, starting with a few Vintage Linens cards!
I started out by die-cutting some vellum with the Vintage Linens dies, and then heat embossed them with the coordinating outline images and gold embossing powder. Then, I used my Gansai watercolors and a water brush, to add the color detail to the centers of the flowers.
On the card front, I heat embossed some gold Vintage Linens leaves and then stamped a sentiment from Perfect Pairing.
For this card, I started with a Perfect Pairing sentiment and then built the flowers around it.
To get the soft look of the leaves, I stamped new leaf ink off once first, before stamping it on the card front, and then did the same with the hawaiian shores veins on the leaves.
I purposely tilted the outline image each time, on the flowers, to give them a more artsy feel, but if you'd prefer, you can line them up perfectly.
For this one, I stamped the flowers and leaves off to one side of a white card stock panel, and then trimmed off the edge by hand. I stamped a couple of flowers on copy paper and cut them out by hand, to use as a mask, so that after I stamped the row of flowers, I could then cover them with the masks and stamp the leaves to look like they're peeking out from behind the flowers.
The sentiment is also from Vintage Linens and the white panel is mounted on a kraft card base.
One more for today......this one features Enclosed: Sun and a sentiment from Tucked In: Thinking of You.
I let the die cut sun peek up out the top of the cloud die cut (Cover Plate: Blue Skies die) and stamped the little dots from Enclosed: Sun on each of the points. The three dots are all one stamp, so they're pretty easy to stamp quickly.
That's it for now, but be sure to head over to each of the other girls on the team! They've got lots of Bibliophile projects to share with you!
