Hello there! Oh my goodness, it's time for the Papertrey July Countdown and this month, I have lots of new releases to share with you that I am reeeeeally excited about!! But before we get to all of that, I also have the pleasure of helping to introduce you today, to Betsy Veldman's new stamp set and dies called Morning by Morning!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on July 15 at 10pm EST.
So, to kick things off today, let's get right to some Morning by Morning projects, shall we?
For this first card, I used the Morning by Morning stamps and dies to create this layered card detail. I just piled on the stamped die cuts. ;) I also stamped a few leaves directly on the card base, for added dimension.
The sentiment I used here is one from my new Perfect Pairing stamp set, that's also releasing this month. Perfect Pairing is comprised of sentiments all done in this same style, and covering a wide array of occasions. The nice thing about these classic block fonts is that you can use them on nearly any style card, and on both feminine and masculine projects!
On the inside of the card, I stamped a few more leaves from Morning by Morning, as well as one of the sentiments from my new Tucked In: Thinking of You stamp set!
Next up, I created a much flatter (almost one layer) card by stamping the morning glories on a white panel and then adhering it flat on the card base.
To get the soft look on the flowers, I stamped the winter wisteria parts at full strength, but stamped the blueberry sky bits after stamping them off once first. The sentiment is the second one from Tucked In: Thinking of You.....even though these stamps were designed to be used on the inside of cards, they work beautifully on card fronts too. I used blueberry sky ink for the sentiment again, however I didn't stamp it off first, before stamping it here.
Ahhh....now I have a little something up my sleeve that you're gonna get a couple of peeks at today, starting right here! In addition to my new Vintage Linens stamp set and dies, which you will see LOTS of this week, I also designed a Vintage Linens patterned paper collection that I am super excited about! We'll get to all of that in a bit, but I wanted to mention that this little patterned paper background is one from the Vintage Linens patterned paper collection! How fun is that ombré dot pattern?!
I die cut the large morning glory cluster from both new leaf and spring rain card stock and just popped the spring rain pieces over the top of the new leaf pieces. Again, I used blueberry sky stamped off once before stamping on the die cuts.....I just love the look of that softer blue.
For the sentiment, I used one from Morning by Morning, stamped in winter wisteria ink.
Next up, I used more Morning by Morning stamped die cuts and this time, softened the new leaf, by stamping it off first before stamping on any of the die cuts.
For the sentiments, I used one of Betsy's new Gracious Greetings dies (see Nichole's blog for all the details!) as well as a sentiment from the new Keep It Simple: Just Because (also on Nichole's blog).
Ok, so now, a bit about my new stamp sets.....first up is Vintage Linens which was inspired by my collection of vintage hankies and tablecloths from the 1940's and 50's. I love how they're all so colorful and I adore the huge variety of florals used on many of them! I designed a stamp set full of these style of flowers, and there are some two-step stamps to allow you to add a second color to the middle of the flowers. Not only that, but there are some outline images as well, so if you prefer to color rather than just stamp your flowers, you can do that too! And of course, you also have the option to stamp the outlines over the top of the solids. But not to worry....you'll get to see all of those options in the days to come!
For this card, I used one of the Vintage Linens dies and stamped this little pair of flowers. Behind the flowers, is another piece of the Vintage Linens patterned paper and for the sentiment, I used another from Perfect Pairing!
Ah, now here is a reeeeeeally easy card to make, featuring yet another of the patterned papers from the Vintage Linens collection!! I simply trimmed the edges down a bit, stamped a sentiment from Vintage Linens and added a bit of shimmer to the flower centers with a Sakura stardust gel pen.
I know the flower center looks kind of white here, but really it's the softest, shiny gold, thanks to my gel pen. Easy peasy!
Of course, if you want to add more layers on top of this patterned paper, you certainly can. But it's nice that if you just want to make a really quick card, you have that option too! Stamp your sentiment and go!
One more project for you before I go.....here's a gift tag featuring my new Enclosed: Sun stamps and dies! I die cut the "Shine" layer from melon berry card stock and the solid sun layer behind it, from berry sorbet card stock.
There is also a solid circle die included in the Enclosed: Sun die collection, which allows you to add another pop of color behind the sentiment or in the center of the solid sun, whether you use the "Shine" layer or not. On that raspberry fizz circle, I stamped one of the companion sentiments from Enclosed: Sun. The whole thing is layered on a basic bookmark #1 die cut and on the back, I stamped the little "To:" and "From:" images from Enclosed: Sun.
Behind the doily, you can also see a peek at another of the new Vintage Linens patterned papers! ;)
That's it for me today, but I have lots more to show you tomorrow so I hope you'll join me! Brace yourselves for all the flowers! Haha!
For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Heather Nichols, and Melissa Phillips for lots more sneak peeks. Betsy Veldman, Erin Lincoln, Maile Belles, and Lizzie Jones will have peeks at their new sets as well.
See you tomorrow, friends!
