Hellooooo!!!
Welcome to the official kick-off of Papertrey Ink's annual online paper-crafting event -- Stamp-a-faire 2015!!! This year's theme is Project Runway inspired, so there are lots of challenges and tutorials all day tomorrow, and all with a fashion twist! And of course, as is usually the case with Papertrey, there are prizes (Papertrey gift cards!) being given away all day long, so you want to be sure and play along!
We have SOOOOO much prepared for you to enjoy tomorrow, but some of the fun starts this morning, beginning with a big look at this year's exclusive Stamp-a-faire stamp set, Fashion Sense, which you can earn for FREE with a qualifying purchase! Nichole Heady has all the details on her blog, but here are the basics: Fashion Sense will ONLY be available on Stamp-a-faire day to all customers who make a qualifying $100 purchase. All orders made between 7am EST and 11:30pm EST on Stamp-a-faire Day (August 29, 2015) that total $100 (before shipping) will receive the set for FREE!!
I've made a couple cards to share with you, using this lovely new set.....
First, you know I had to bust out my Zig markers to color that fabulous dress!! Lovey-Love-Love! The dress portion was all done on watercolor card stock, while the layer behind it is stamper's select white card stock. These markers work best on watercolor card stock.
The sentiment is also one from the Fashion Sense set.
And I stamped a little flower border, using the mini stamps included in the set as well!
For this card, I again used watercolor markers and a water brush to color the dress, and then after the watercolor had dried, I dabbed on some water spots. Once those were dry, I stamped some of the flowers from the set, on the water spots. The sentiment is another from Fashion Sense.
Below the watercolor card stock, I added a strip of gold card stock that was die cut with the heart border die to create the scallops, and behind that is a strip of striped vellum.
