Hello there! It's time to kick off the Papertrey September Countdown! I have lots to share with you in the next few days, so I hope you'll stop by often!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on September 15 at 10pm EST.
To get things started, allow me to introduce a couple of my new stamp sets to, starting with Deck the Halls, which is a two-step wreath stamp set. You'll love the options the coordinating dies give you, for customizing how the wreath looks! And I've also used one of the sentiments from my new O Holy Night stamp set here! O Holy Night consists of religious-themed sentiments, including some classic Christmas carols and Bible verses.
For this first card, I opted for some traditional Christmas colors with a slight twist in the addition of the turquoise-y color on the wreath. You know me.....can't stick to the 'regular' colors! Haha!
I started off with the main wreath image from Deck the Halls, and inked it with ripe avocado ink. After that, I used an ink blending tool, to dab on some of Tim Holtz' peacock feathers ink around the edges, to create the variegated look on the pine branches. After that, I used the berries stamp, from Deck the Halls, to add the red berries to the wreath. I used one of the Deck the Halls bow dies and stamp, to add the pure poppy bow on top.
Here is a closer look at the sentiment from O Holy Night. The thing about most of the sentiments from O Holy Night, is that they're a big enough scale that you could also use them on the inside of your cards if you'd like. But of course, they're also a great size for card fronts too!
I finished things up here, with a bit of sewing machine stitching on either side of the card.
GAH -- the colors here!!! If I could insert a heart-eyes emoji here, I totally would! Haha! I LOVE these colors!!!! There's just something about the way new leaf ink looks when it's stamped on hawaiian shores card stock -- it gets me every time!!
So, I stamped the wreath from Deck the Halls repeatedly, to create the background pattern, stamping the pine branches in new leaf and the berries in ripe avocado. For the wreath in the center, I added the "Deck the Halls" sentiment from Deck the Halls, as well as the other bow from the set. There are two different bows included in the set and they can be used in a variety of different ways and in different positions on the wreath, to totally change up the look of your wreaths!
To finish things off, I colored some clear rhinestones with a red Copic marker and popped a few on the center wreath.
Ok, so next up, I'm excited to show you Enclosed: Bell! This might just be my favorite of the Enclosed series, so far! These bells have such a classic feel and there are a couple of additional bonus things that make them great! One -- they work beautifully with the bows from Deck the Halls!!! I used both of the Deck the Halls bows on this card....they're a really great fit and add a super fun touch, if you don't want to use the holly that comes in the Enclosed: Bell set.
Second bonus is that these bells can totally have year-round appeal if you turn them into WEDDING BELLS!! Stay tuned later this week! ;)
For this card, I used another of the sentiments from O Holy Night.....the Joy to the world sentiment is a pretty perfect pairing with the "Joy" bells!
For the bells themselves, there are a few things to note here! First off, I cut they from Luxe Gold card stock and you'll notice, I stamped the little "to the world" from Enclosed: Bell, on the solid bell layer, using Maile's versamark discovery from a month or so ago -- if you stamp on the luxe card stock with versamark ink, it replaces that matte gold with a super shiny gold! VERY cool in real life, even if it is super hard to photograph! Ha!
So included in the Enclosed: Bell die collection, there is a solid bell die that has a slit at the bottom. There is also a little "clapper" die -- that's the little ball that's inside a bell and yes, I did have to look up the actual name for that little thing!!! The clapper die cut fits in the slit at the bottom of the bell and can be positioned at whatever angle works for whichever way your bell might be tipped on your card or project. Just gives it a little bit more realistic feel! And there is the "Joy" frame die that you can layer over the top of the solid bell (or not, if you prefer), as well as a little holly die, which you'll see in use below.
For this card, I used only the solid bell and clapper dies, for the bell on the left. I added the "Joy" frame die cut over the top, for the die on the right. And like I said above, the bows are both from the new Deck the Halls collection.
Here are a couple of gift tags......oh my, I can't wait to use these! I went with a pure poppy and raspberry fizz color combo and just reversed everything on each bell. You can see here, that I used the holly image from Enclosed: Bell....stamping pure poppy berries on one and raspberry fizz berries on the other.
These can be tied on all sorts of gifts (even wedding gifts -- just imagine these in silver or white!) and I love the look of tying more than one onto a gift bag! Such a fun touch!
I used the same "to the world" companion sentiment from Enclosed: Bell, but there are quite a few options in the set, which you will see in the coming days!
Ok, before I go, I have one more card for you.....this one gives you a peek at my new Tucked In: Get Well stamp set! It's here just in time for cold and flu season! Heehee!
I used Mum's the Word stamps and dies, to create the flowers and leaves, layering them all on a Center Style: Feminine die cut.
Here's the Tucked In: Get Well sentiment....sure to brighten someone's day!
All right, that's it for me! For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Betsy Veldman, Melissa Phillips, Danielle Flanders, Maile Belles, & Ashley Cannon Newell for lots more sneak peeks. Erin Lincoln, & Lizzie Jones will have peeks at their new sets as well.
Have a great day and I'll see you back here tomorrow! What do you think so far??? :)
