Hey there!
This is the time of year when I start really piling up a stash of gift tags to have on hand, so they're ready to roll come time to wrap our Christmas gifts. I have so much fun making them and dressing up gifts with them -- they add such a special, personal touch to even the most basic gift wrap! I've been sharing quite a few layered tags over the past week or two, that you can tie onto various types of gifts, but maybe peel-and-stick gift tags are more your speed? With some simple ink blending and stamping on Papertrey's white adhesive sheets, you can create peel-and-stick tags that are every bit as cute as the store-bought variety and the best part is, you can whip up a whole stack that are ready to be peeled and stuck, when you start wrapping gifts this year! ;) I've created a whole pile of them to show you, all with new stamps and dies from the September release (which means, these products are all available now!)....let's get right to it!
To start things off, I did some ink blending on Papertrey's white adhesive sheets. I just used one red ink on the red ones and two greens for the blending on the green ones. (I've linked all the products used below) I used ink blending tools to sponge on the inks and then die cut the tags. I knew I wanted to make three of each of these, so I just blended one big section of adhesive sheet and then die cut all three tags. Doing the blending in one big chunk like that, makes it pretty easy to put the colors where you want them to be once you die cut.
After the tags were die cut, I added the stamping over the top -- one stamp from Ribbon Slider Sentiments on each, as well as a little sprig stamped up at the top, from Holiday Folk.
Here's a peek at the back side of the adhesive sheet....you can see the paper backing that you just peel off and stick it directly on your gift....
Easy peasy, but super cute and festive!
So for these, I used the Minute to Make: Holiday Tags die and the Minute to Make: Holiday Tags 2 stamp set. Again, I did all of the red ink blending at once, and then die cut three tags. I added the stamping and voila! Done! Then, on to the green set!
Lastly, I couldn't resist making a couple of bell shaped peel-and-stick tags too! Same idea, different stamps and dies. While you're doing them, it's seriously not a big deal to just keep going, particularly if you're using similar colors. You've already got them out, so why not make multiples?!
Almost forgot to mention, I used the same little 'to/from' stamp from Minute to Make: Holiday Tags 2. Again, using the same stamp just kept things easy and added a cohesive element to all the tags at the same time!
And of course, one more picture of the whole big happy family, because you know I love to see them all together! ;)
What do you think? Could you see yourself making some peel-and-stick tags? Have you tried ink-blending? I am always so amazed at how much a bit of ink blending can do to liven things up!
Hope I've given you at least a bit of inspiration today!
Happy Friday, friends...
