Hey there! Welcome back for Day 2 of the Papertrey October Countdown! Today, I get to help introduce you to a new background set designed by Lizzie Jones, called Fair Isle Borders. And I also get to show you the next in the Keep It Simple series by Nichole Heady -- Gift Thanks! Let's get right to it, shall we?
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on October 15 at 10pm EST.
Fair Isle Borders features lots of different border and companion images that allow you to create a wide variety of borders, all in the Fair Isle style. I used quite a few of them here, in strips, to give you a peek at several of the different patterns you can create.
The sentiment is, of course, from Keep It Simple: Gift Thanks, and it was stamped in hawaiian shores ink.
I used hawaiian shores, aqua mist and some new Vintage Jadeite card stock here, and stamped different patterns on each. You can see on the bottom strip, what Vintage Jadeite ink looks like, when stamped on the matching card stock.
For this card, I used one of the Fair Isle Border strips and stamped it repeatedly to create the background. It creates such a pretty look! Makes me want to put on a cozy sweater!
The sentiment strip features a Keep It Simple: Gift Thanks sentiment that was heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I added some die cut Spruce & Sprigs images to finish things off!
Here, I used just one single background strip from Fair Isle Borders, to stamp that cute tree pattern in dark chocolate ink.
Next, I stamped the coffee pot from Cup of Cheer, topped with a Keep It Simple: Gift Thanks sentiment and then added some die cut images from Cup of Cheer to finish things off.
Behind the focal panel, is another of the new plaid patterned papers.
For this background, I used another of the border strips from Fair Isle Borders, as well as one of the little companion images to create this pattern.
I die cut some white card stock with one of the In the Meadow dies and stamped a Keep It Simple: Gift Thanks sentiment at the bottom. The trees are of course, from the new Joyful Christmas set and I added some prisma glitter to each one after the card was all put together. (I find this to be a way easier way of dealing with glitter! This way, I don't have to handle the trees after they're glittery!)
I used several new stamp sets on this card! I started out with the Joyful Christmas bottle brush trees in the corner and then stamped a Tucked In: Holiday sentiment up top. After those were in place, I used Heather Nichols' new Snowflake Sparkle stamp set to add all of the snowflakes with versamark ink.
I used some Tombow mono-adhesive to add dots of glue to the snowflakes and then sprinkled on prisma glitter. The nice thing is that because the versamark is such a sticky ink, the glitter sticks to it as well, so my snowflakes are super sparkly!
You can see a bit more of the sparkle above...
Lastly before I go, I have some Enclosed: Wreath gift tags to show you! I used the Basic Bookmark dies to cut out the kraft tag bases and Limitless Layers circle dies to cut out the pure poppy layers behind the wreaths.
I told you yesterday that the Deck the Halls bows from last month, are a perfect fit on these wreaths! See?! This is the larger of the two bows from Deck the Halls.
The sentiments are all from Enclosed: Wreath. After the tags were all assembled, I added glossy accents to each of the berries, for some shine!
This makes for a pretty cute gift, yes?
Ok, I'm off for now but I'll be back tomorrow with lots more!
For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Heather Nichols and Danielle Flanders for lots more sneak peeks. Betsy Veldman, Lizzie Jones and Maile Belles will have peeks at their new products as well.
See you tomorrow!
