Hey there!
Time for yet another fun Papertrey Group Post and I gotta tell you, I kind of love this one! It's no secret that florals are just about my favorite thing to create with so a whole post dedicated to Winter florals was right up my alley! Not only do all of these florals feature a beautiful wintery twist, but a lot of them could be used throughout the year too! Once I got to creating today, I got a little carried away so we'd better jump right into the projects! First up, a holiday Spruce & Sprigs card!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on October 15 at 10pm EST.
I stamped a sentiment from O Holy Night on some white card stock. I inked the sentiment with tropical teal ink and then sponged on some ripe avocado. Then, I created a floral spray with various die cut images from Spruce & Sprigs!
Next, I have a wintery thank you card for you, featuring Nichole's new Botanical Blocks III stamp set. I stamped the anemone image on watercolor card stock with palette noir ink and then watercolored it with my Zig markers and a water brush.
I stamped some images from Spruce & Sprigs on the vintage cream card base. You could totally use these images for year-round use and even on masculine cards!
I added a sentiment from Holiday Thanks and that was it!
Next up, I used a new cover plate die by Betsy Veldman, called Cover Plate: Winter Floral. I die cut it from ripe avocado card stock and layered it on some watercolor paper (that was layered on a white card base) on which, I watercolored some red ink with my Zigs again.
Once the watercolor was dry, I stamped a sentiment from O Holy Night.
Lastly, added a few die cut images from Spruce and Sprigs for some added dimension.
Ok, so this next card came about from an idea that popped into my head while making the card after this one! Haha! Lizzie Jones made a card featuring a similar layout recently, but with a fall twist, using my Leave It Be stamps and I loved it so much! So, when I had the Holiday Double-Cuts dies out, working on the card you'll see after this one, I couldn't resist whipping this one up while I was at it!
It's literally just the Holiday Double-Cuts die cut word and a bunch of images from Spruce & Sprigs! I snipped off the tips of any of the sprigs that wanted to show through the holes in the word. I wanted to keep the word itself, nice and uncluttered looking. Fun!
Ok, so here's the card that sparked the one you just saw! lol. Funny how creative juices work!
Anyway, I started out with one of the new Holiday Plaid papers and layered on a Holiday Double-Cuts word as well as some bottle brush trees from Joyful Christmas.
The "Season's Greetings" sentiment is also from Joyful Christmas.
Ok, so just in case you thought the Cup of Cheer set could only be used for the holidays, allow me to show you this next card! I paired it with one of my all time favorite sentiments from my Signature Greetings II stamp set and made a fun little card for my hubby! He IS the cream in my coffee! ;)
I went with some slightly more masculine colors and stamped the steam from Candy Cane Christmas and put the whole thing on one of the new Tag Sale: Quilted dies. The twine is some I have in my stash -- not sure where it's from. And behind all of that, is a Basic Bookmark #2 die cut.
One more for today, I thought I'd show an Enclosed: Wreath card that doesn't use the dies. If you want to stamp the wreaths without using the dies, you literally just have to line up the end points (at the end of the half circles) and stamp. Super easy. There are little cutouts in one leaf on each end, where the other end fits into it. Just fit those into place and you're done!
The sentiments are all various pieces from Enclosed: Wreath.
And inside the card, I added another wreath as well as a Tucked In: Holiday sentiment. I stamped the sentiment in ripe avocado ink and then stamped the wreath in versamark ink. That way, I got a little color variation on that dark card stock, but didn't cover up the text too much.
Ok, friends, that's all I've got for today, but come back tomorrow -- I've got lots more to share! In the meantime, go see my teammates! :)
