Hi-ya!! Welcome back! The Papertrey November Countdown is in full swing and today, I thought I'd give you more of an in-depth look at Enclosed: Present!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on November 15 at 10pm EST.
For this first card, I did a bit of ink blending on a piece of white card stock with a couple of Tim Holtz inks. After the blending was done, I die cut the solid Enclosed: Present from the blended card stock and then stamped a sentiment from the set in smokey shadow ink. Over the top, I stacked up several of the Enclosed: Present frame die cuts and stamped the bow from the set, on the top layer, in raspberry fizz ink.
Behind the gift is a bit of raspberry fizz pattern pack paper.
For this present, I die cut some watercolor card stock and then added some watercolor with my Zig markers and a water brush. Over the top, I added the Enclosed: Present frame layer, cut from new leaf card stock and the bow was stamped with new leaf ink.
Before I glued the frame layer down, I die cut the little tag and tied it through one of the loops on the bow, with a bit of baker's twine. The "With Love" sentiment is another from Enclosed: Present. Behind that is a strip of gold luxe foil patterned paper and I embossed the Cover Plate: Circles die on the hawaiian shores card base.
I wanted to give you yet another look with this tag, so I used the solid Enclosed: Present die as well as the separate bow, to cut out some watercolor card stock. I watercolored both with Zig markers and popped the bow on top of the present with some foam adhesive, once the watercolor was dry. I also stamped the "Just because" from Enclosed: Present.
Lastly, I die cut the Enclosed: Present frame die and trimmed out the "For You" words and adhered them to the present, sticking off the side a bit. I love that you can position those pretty words anywhere you want them, to suit your design!
This time, I adhered the present to one of the Enclosed: Basic Folded Tag die cuts, and stamped the "to/from" inside, from Enclosed: Present. I used a bit of washi tape to stick the tag on a little striped gift bag I had in my stash (from Target). This makes a sweet little gift wrap that's ready for me to tuck a treat into whenever I need it!
One more tag for you you.....for this one, I die cut the solid present from hawaiian shores card stock and trimmed straight across the top, to cut the solid bow portion off. Next, I die cut the bow from new leaf card stock and glued it to the top edge of the present. This way, you can see all those gorgeous loops without a backer and bonus, you can use one of those loops to tie the tag onto your gift!
I stamped some Polka Dot Basics II dots on the bottom of the present and added the die cut gift tag stamped with another sentiment from Enclosed: Present. Lastly, I topped the gift with a few flowers and leaves from Brushed Blooms! I love how this handmade gift tag really dresses up a store-bought (Target again) gift bag!
One more for you today.....I've got a sympathy card to share with you. Gladiolas are such lovely flowers and they're included in a lot of funeral flower arrangements, so I decided to pair this stamp from Year of Flowers: Gladiolus with Tucked In: Sympathy for this card.
Can I just briefly pause here, to say how much FUN I had coloring these flowers?!! I've never been a huge colorer, but those darn Zig watercolor markers have made me really fall in love with coloring! You just never know what's gonna emerge once you add the water to the marker color.....I love it! I just used two markers on these flowers and two on the leaves, but look how multi-colored they look! Happy sigh.
I heat embossed the flowers with white embossing powder on watercolor card stock, added some color with the markers and then filled in the rest by pushing the color around with the water brush.
Inside the card, I stamped one of the Tucked In: Sympathy sentiments with versamark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.
I'm off for now, but be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Heather Nichols, Melissa Phillips & Danielle Flanders for lots more sneak peeks. Betsy Veldman, Erin Lincoln, Maile Belles & Lizzie Jones will have peeks at their new products as well.
See you tomorrow, friends!
