Hi there!
Welcome back for another fun Papertrey Group Post! Today, we're showcasing the entire line-up of Petite Places and Scene It goodies as well as the newest Petite Places: Walk in the Park stamps and dies, and the new Petite Places papers, all designed by Betsy Veldman! You'll love how you can really mix and match so many of these products to create a myriad of scenes for every occasion and every season! I've created a set of tags -- one for each of the seasons -- and can't wait to show you what all I used to create them!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on November 15 at 10pm EST.
To get started, I created all of my little scenes. I wanted to show you what they looked like before I put them on my tags. Aren't they fun?!! At this point, you could really do whatever you want with them. Put them on tags, cards, scrapbook layouts, whatever you want.
So for all of the Scene It components -- all of the background pieces -- I did ink blending on them to color them. All of them! To make this easier, I cut out 3-1/2" squares of linen card stock and that way, I could lay the Scene It dies over the little square to see roughly where I wanted the ink colors to be when I blended them. Then, I blended on the inks and die cut each layer, stacking them up as I went. Once all of the background elements were done, I die cut and stamped all of the little Petite Places images for each.
Here they are, assembled as gift tags and below, you can see the dimension on them a bit better.
For the Spring Tag, I used the Scene It: Everyday dies to cut out the trees and then I used Petite Places: Sweet Shoppe, to add the candy store, bikes and sentiment. Check out the supply lists below, to see all of the ink colors I used.
This summer tag is probably my favorite......wait till you see what dies I used! I used the moon die from Scene It: Hallows Eve, paired with the palm trees from Scene It: Bethlehem to create the backdrop! Then, I added the chairs and surfboard from Petite Places: Happy Camper!
For the fall tag, I started with the sun die from the Scene It: Skyscapes collection, followed by those same trees I used on the spring tag, from Scene It: Everyday. This time, I just used fall colors when I did the ink blending.
The schoolhouse is from Petite Places: School, as well as the sentiment and the adorable little lamppost and bridge are from the new Petite Places: Walk in the Park, coming out this month!
Lastly, the winter tag....for this one I used the Scene It: Mountain View dies paired with Petite Places: Happy Camper again.....so fun! I die cut the mountains from white card stock, as well as the panel I'd blended dark chocolate ink on, and then just popped the snow-caps into the openings on the brown mountains.
Before I go, I have a few more cards to share with you....first up, how about some more Fab Flakes?
I heat embossed the die cut snowflakes with gold embossing powder.
I used some washi tape to mask off a section at the top of my white linen card stock panel, and then ink blended some bright pink from the right, creating an ombre effect. Then, I stamped a sentiment from Thank You Kindly, using pure poppy ink.
Lastly, I cut two thin strips of luxe gold adhesive sheet, peeled the backing off and stuck them above and below the sentiment!
They're so shiiiiiiny! :)
Here, I used those luxe gold adhesive sheets again, to die cut the bow and ribbon from Enclosed: Present. I also cut a thin strip, to serve as the edge of the box lid. The main Enclosed: Present die was used to cut out a watercolored panel (watercolor card stock and Zig markers/water) and everything was layered over the top!
The two little sentiments are also from Enclosed: Present and were stamped on once the watercolor was dry.
One more for you.....I wanted to use one of those Winter Woods birds again, and paired it with Tucked In: Sympathy.....
The striped paper is one of the new Winter Woods patterned papers. I masked off one line from Tucked In: Sympathy and stamped that on the front of the card. The bird and branch are both from Winter Woods.
Inside the card, I went ahead and stamped the full sentiment from Tucked In: Sympathy, to reiterate the message on the front. I love that the card front and inside can easily match this way!
All right, friends, I'm off for now but don't miss checking out everyone else's Petite Places projects!
