Hi there, Friends!
Happy NOVEMBER!!! Holy cow, the holidays are officially upon us and to keep the holiday inspiration flowing for you, we're pulling out Tree Trimming Trio for our Senior Team Challenge at Papertrey Ink today! I had so much fun stamping these trees in clusters....they're just begging for it, if you ask me!
Let's chat about this cheery card first, shall we?
I die cut one tree and stamped the two behind it, all from hawaiian shores card stock with new leaf ink stamped on top. That may be my all time favorite paper/ink combo. I just love the way the new leaf changes a bit when stamped on hawaiian shores card stock! Such a cool green!
Anyway, I stamped the ornaments from white card stock and punched them out with a 1/2" circle punch. Once they were all adhered to the card, I added glossy accents to each one. The sentiment is also from Tree Trimming Trio and was stamped in pure poppy ink.
For this card, I added a fun little twist to the trees.....I used one of the Christmas light stamps from my Holiday Lights stamp set (link below) to add to the little strings on the trees! I cut each of the trees out by hand.
The two trees on the left were stamped with aqua mist ink and the one on the right, with hawaiian shores. And then all the ornaments and lights were stamped with either new leaf or hawaiian shores inks. The sentiment and tree stands were stamped with dark chocolate ink. Below the sentiment, I added a strip of dark chocolate card stock as well as one of the Holiday Plaid papers.
I hope that gives you just a bit more inspiration if you're starting to crank out your Christmas cards and tags yourself! Be sure to check out what each of the girls did with these trees!
