Hey there!
Y'all are always so sweet when I share my favorite things posts -- seems like you like them, so I'm gonna try to be a little better about sharing them more regularly! Here are a few things I'm loving lately!
For today, I wanted to mention again, these Paper Mate Flair pens I got not long ago.....I bought the pack of 12 and I've found that I LOVE using them in my planner! You know how the planner colors change from month to month and you know how I am about color coordinating -- haha! -- so these make it really easy to keep my writing somewhat coordinated with the colors of the pages each week/month. Very important stuff here, people. LOL. Also, I can tell you that there is no bleed-through on the linen planner pages, with these pens. You can see on the back side, just a bit, that there is writing on the previous page, but definitely no bleed through. I like 'em.
I know I've mentioned them before, but given the fact that I've discovered how great they are for Papertrey's new planner systems, I thought it might be good to let you know that.
Here are some more pens that I love.....the Stabile point 88 pens. These also work great in the planner without any bleed-through and I particularly love the gray one (Art. No. 88/96 -- you can see it in the photo above) because it matches not only my gray binder, but also the gray trim/print on the actual pages. Plus, gray goes with everything, regardless of what color scheme is on each month's pages!
I bought mine individually, so I have 9 colors but you can get this gorgeous set of 30 of them all together. I also paid maybe 90 cents each in Europe last year, so these for less than 60 cents each is quite a DEAL! I kinda want the whole set. I have a teeeeeensy thing for pens. ;)
Ok, here's one that's completely random but there are my FAVORITE chips!!! Hahaha! So I jokingly told Bartley before Christmas that all I wanted this year was chips and dip....lol! I love salty snacks and we NEVER have dip unless it's like a major party, right? So I said he could just get me chips and dip for Christmas! :) He didn't JUST get me chips, but he did take my little request to heart and did some online research to find out what chips are super popular....particularly ones that we can't get right here at home. He discovered these that got rave reviews and so, he ordered me a pack of 3 bags from Amazon. LOL. I kid you not.
When I opened the box of assorted salty snacks that he'd selected from various places, I was super excited. But then I saw that he'd gotten three bags of these and I was like, "THREE bags? I hope we like 'em!" Haaaaa! Turns out, we both LOVE them. I mean, I could eat an entire bag for a SNACK. Hahaha! They're so good! They taste like when we have a shrimp boil....they remind me of Old Bay seasoning. They're salty and a little zingy and good golly, we ran out and had to order more! However, in the interest of spending money so that we can save money -- hahaha! -- we're not buying the measly three-pack which will cost us over $6 per bag. We ordered the 12-pack, so that they'll be less than $4 a bag, because that's just how we roll. LOL. Sometimes you gotta spend money to save money! *wink*
Moving on.....don't you love how random these posts are? Everything from chips to Kate Spade bags! LOL. These are a few of my favorite things.....what can I say?! :)
So I recently saw this Kate Spade bag in an instagram photo in my feed and fell in LOVE. Hard. So I asked Bart to work his online search magic and find the best deal he could on this, and it turns out, we got it for a song at Nieman Marcus because it was on sale, plus they had a sale on top of the sale prices! SCORE! Unfortunately, they are sold out of it now at Nieman Marcus and a lot of other places too, particularly in this fabulous color combo. (It does come in a black/white combo and a beige/pastel pink.)
Anyway, looks like you can still get it at amazon -- click the link above or just click on the purse photo, but it looks like once you're on the amazon page, there are a couple other sellers over on the right hand side of the page where it says OTHER SELLERS, that have it for less money. However, it looks like there's only one left at the lowest price, so I don't know what will be left by the time you get over there to check it out. But if you like this bag, don't wait if you're wanting to buy it. The original instagram poster that had it when I first saw it, linked it on her site to a store that had it on sale, and two days later, they were sold out...which is how we ended up hunting it down at Nieman Marcus. Haha. Anyway, this is clearly not a new model and is therefore on sale or sold out most places.
One more for you before I go.....I recently purchased the All Nighter makeup setting spray by Urban Decay and I have to say that I love it! I found a new makeup artist on YouTube, whose videos I've been enjoying and she said to look at these setting sprays as "hairspray for your face". You do your makeup and then spray this on at the end, to set everything so that it stays put all day. Plus, it helps any powders on your face, to sort of blend into your foundation, so you don't have a powdery finish. You like a slight-bit dewy. It's pretty! Not only that, but I've been shocked at how well my foundation has still looked some 12 hours after I put it on and sprayed the All Nighter on top! Without the spray, my foundation tends to wear off throughout the day, but with the spray, it's still there at bedtime! It's not cheap, that's for sure, but this is one product that I'm glad I splurged on!
I'll pop in again with more favorites next month and if there's a product that you've been loving lately, be sure to share it in the comments section!
Hope you have a great week, friends!
