So today is a fun one! We're sharing peeks at a new monthly series Betsy Veldman has designed called Dress Up Dolls! You can create paper dolls with the Basics stamp set and dies, and can then use the additional sets released each month, to add to your paper dolls collection, and to kick things off, she's got both the Basics and Easter sets for you! Papertrey will also be carrying metal CD tins as well as magnet sheets and you can create adorable little magnetic doll sets, for fun on the go!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on February 15 at 10pm EST.
So here's a close-up of the sleeve I wrapped around the tin. Everything on the front is adhered to the striped paper -- I used the Dress Up Dolls: Easter stamps and dies, to create this cute little guy, as well as, to stamp the sentiment. The pieces were all die cut from watercolor card stock and then watercolored with my Zig markers and a water brush.
And when you slide the sleeve off, here's what's inside! The doll pieces were die cut from adhesive sheets as well as magnet sheets, and then I stamped the adhesive sheets with images from both the Dress Up Dolls: Basics and Dress Up Dolls: Easter stamp sets, pulled off the paper backing and stuck them to the magnets. I adhered a piece of bitty dot paper inside the lid of the tin for a little decoration. The dolls can either stick to the lid or to the main part of the tin.
If you give these dolls with a set of markers or colored pencils or even crayons, the recipient can first color their dolls however they want, and can then mix and match them! The pieces in the lid (shown above) are from Dress Up Dolls: Easter and the pieces in the tin, are from Dress Up Dolls: Basics.
Oh, and just so you know, you can tuck a little 8-pack of crayons right into the tin, and the lid still fits! Such a fun little travel gift! I could see this keeping some little people entertained and quiet during church once in awhile! ;)
Be sure to visit Nichole Heady for lots more peeks and to see which of the other designers have projects to share today!
I'll be back tomorrow!
