Hey there!
So, I know tons of you are gonna be so excited about today's new product line introduction! Betsy Veldman's Petite Places series last year was so popular, and this year, she's just outdone herself. Not only is she bringing us a larger little building collection called Tiny Town, but these can also be turned into treat boxes!! Brilliant! Simply tuck the flaps down into the house when you assemble, and it's simply a darling little house. Pull the flaps out the top of the house and add the cute little handle as I've done here, and voila! Treat box!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on February 15 at 10pm EST.
So, first off this month, you can get the Tiny Town: Basics dies, which includes this little house and all it's windows and such. You can also get the Tiny Town: Church dies, which allow you to add a steepled church front, to the front of this little house to change it up, as well as some church windows to change up the sides. And there are also two additional roof die options, which you don't have to have in order to use the box at all, but they do add such a cute added bit of detail, because they overhang, like a proper roof does.
I used the Tiny Town: Scalloped Shingles die on the kraft card stock here. The idea is that if you don't want to use your house as a box that opens, you can top it with this roof -- which is all one piece. HOWEVER, if you DO want to use it as a treat box like I did and you still really DO want to use that cute scalloped roof, all you have to do is cut the roof in half and adhere it on either side of the treat box opening and you're set!
I added one of the tremendous tags to the top of my treat box, to add a little thank you tag for a hostess. The sentiment is from Thank You Kindly, and this little box is filled with four of these good sized chocolates.
Here's what the box looks like when it's opened. So cute, right?! These would make awesome party favors or if you added the church front, they'd make darling wedding favors!!
That's it for me for today! Be sure to visit Nichole Heady for lots more peeks and to see which of the other designers have posts to share today!
