Hi there!
Happy February!! Eeee.....February means that it's almost time for the Papertrey Anniversary release, which as you probably already know, is only the biggest release of the year! It's a biggo party (haha!) and there's always tons of fun and tons of prizes, so stay tuned for that! It's nearly here!
In the meantime, the Senior Design Team members have a couple of projects to share with you, to give you a little inspiration while you wait. :) This month, we've pulled out the previously released Pedal Pusher stamp set and it's a cute one! It's one of those great sets that can work well by itself, or can be paired with other sets in your collection, to create darling little scenes and give you way more design options. Don't you just love sets like that?
For my first card, I pulled out the coordinating dies and stamped this little red beauty. (For the record, I totally want an old school, beach cruiser type bike like this. I don't really want to ride it all the time, but I want one to look at. Haaaa! And I think I want it in turquoise. I've clearly given this some thought.) :)
Anyway, I used the Garden Grace stamp set, to add the flowers up in the corner and then stamped the sentiments (from Pedal Pusher) at the bottom of the white card stock.
As for that adorable bike, I used four different die cuts here. The whole bike/tires is one layer. On that layer though, I only stamped the tires. Then, I added the body of the bike (including the basket) on top -- it makes everything a bit more sturdy to do it this way. After that, I added the die cut puppy and flowers, which are die cuts that are adhered behind the basket. Fun!
Also, I don't think it's possible for me to make one of these die cut bicycles and not put mini brads in the center of the tires. LOL. They just look like they BELONG there.
Next up, a simple one layer card on which, I only used stamps from the Pedal Pusher stamp set. The presents in the basket are perfect for a thank you card (or a birthday card, depending on which sentiment you choose!).
I used flower/leaf/berry images from the set, which were all intended for the basket, to create the little cluster down by the tire. I love a set that works well on it's own and doesn't need other stamps or dies, to look cute! I also love a set that plays well with lots of other sets! This one does both!
Be sure to see what my teammates have whipped up to share with you today!
