Hey friends!!
It's release day at Papertrey Ink, which means that you can start shopping for all of the new goodies being released this month, at 10pm EST tonight! This includes my new Ombré Sentiments: Birthday stamp set!
In the meantime, the team has a few final projects to share with you to give you some last minute inspiration! As you may have noticed, I'm a bit behind on sharing projects with you this month, so I'll be sharing my remaining projects over the next few days, starting with several today. I hope you'll check back to see the rest of my projects!
For today, allow me to show you a card using the new Best Birthday Dies by Maile Belles. I embossed the die into some watercolor card stock, which gave me guide lines to use to watercolor the balloons and then I laid a white die cut over the top, to cover up the watercolored edges.
The sentiment die cut from the same die collection was added over the top....easy peasy!
For this card, I paired the new Script Swirls: Birthday stamp set by Nichole Heady, with the previously released Ruby Rose stamp set.
I used my Zig markers to watercolor a swirl and then stamped the sentiment from Script Swirls: Birthday over the top. Next, I used a bit of true black re-inker and my water brush, to add some splatters and then added some stamped splatters (also from Script Swirls: Birthday), as well as a few little circle clusters from Ruby Rose.
For this card, I paired Maile Belles' new Shaped Sayings: Birthday die with my new Ombré Sentiments: Birthday.
I die cut the birthday greeting from watercolor card stock and used my Zigs to color it, and then added a couple of plain white die cut layers behind it to give it some thickness.
I inked the sentiment from Ombré Sentiments: Birthday with both orange zest and raspberry fizz inks and then added a couple of scalloped borders to finish things off.
One more for today.....this one features Betsy Veldman's new What the Doodle: Feather stamps and dies and I paired it with one of her Modern Background Stencils from last month's release....I simply sponged on some green parakeet ink, on the green parakeet background.
And for the large feather, I die cut both the solid feather and the cut-out feather....the solid is white card stock and I stamped the details on it. The cut-out layer is watercolor card stock, and I watercolored it first and then when that was dry, stamped it with the same details and then layered it on top of the solid feather.
All right, friends....I'm off for now, but the rest of the girls have lots more to show you today! Be sure to visit each one!
