Hello there!
So I'm a bit late to the Stitched Tray party, but as promised, I have my own little stitched tray to share with you today! Thanks for cutting me some slack on getting this posted this month! ;)
All of the products used to make this tray, are now available at Papertrey Ink! I used the new Stitched Tray: Rectangle die and Rectangle Trim dies, as well as the new Stitched Bicycle die. Oh, and for the record, I used all 6 strands of embroidery floss when stitching everything up. That's just my personal preference, but if you like thinner stitches, by all means, you can cut that down and just use 2 or 3 strands. Totally up to you!
I also tucked thick paper inside each of the sides and bottom, to give it a bit more stability. If you're gonna make one of these trays, I highly recommend visiting Erin's blog and watching her tutorial video. She'll save you some guess-work!
I also used a fun felt color combo of berry sorbet, aqua mist, tropical teal and vintage cream. I love how these felt colors look together!
Oh, and if you like these embroidery floss colors, I can tell you that I used DMC #964, 958, 453 and 3706. Hope that helps!
Here's a bit of a close-up of the bike itself...
And here, I've got the tray loaded up with some of my favorite jewelry pieces that I reach for daily. As you can see, the tray holds quite a lot. I think this will be so cute to have sitting on my dresser!
There you have it.....hope I've given you a bit of inspiration this afternoon!
Did you get any of the new stitching dies this month? I'd love to hear!
Have a great St. Patrick's Day, friends!
