Hello, friends! It's been awhile since I did a book report for you, but I couldn't wait another minute to share because I recently finished a book that was SOOOOO GOOOOOOD. I mean, it was really, really good. As in, I-think-I-read-it-in-like-2-days good! It's one of those books that literally just by reading the description on the back cover, I was totally captivated and then before the end of the first chapter, I was SUCKED IN. In the best way. I want to be the main character's best friend. :) Never mind that it's set in the depression era. lol! This was just one of those stories that I never in a million years could have dreamed up, and yet to imagine the predicament this leading lady found herself in.....well, I couldn't wait to see how it would turn out. So good. Did I say that already? Do yourself a favor. Read this one! SO shocking and heartbreaking and then......so heartWARMing! GAH! Best book I've read in a long time.

Room for Hope: A Novel by Kim Vogel Sawyer
Ok, moving on. Prior to reading the best book I've read in a long time (wink), I was on a modern-day fiction kick. You know I normally love historical fiction (which is, I'm sure, partly why I loved the previous book so much), but every now and then, I just get on a murder mystery/action kind of kick. Granted, all of these titles I share with you are Christian fiction, so you you never have to wonder if they're clean or not. No smut here. :) AND, they're not overly gory or anything like that. Of course, there are murders involved, but we couldn't really have a murder mystery without a murder so....there's that. Anywhoooo.....here are a few I've recently read and enjoyed!
Cold Shot (Chesapeake Valor Book #1) by Dani Pettrey
I've loved everything I've read by this author so far and find myself anxiously awaiting her next release. Hope we don't have to wait too long!
Thin Ice (Men of Valor Book #2): A Novel by Irene Hannon
I shared the first book in this series with you, in my last book report (Buried Secrets). I have to say, I'm a big Irene Hannon fan these days too! I love finding new authors who are consistently good!
Fatal Exchange (Southern Crimes Book #2) by Lisa Harris Another author I've recently discovered and have really come to look forward to!
Hidden Agenda (Southern Crimes Book #3) by Lisa Harris
And lastly, here's one more for you historical fiction lovers!
The Mistress of Tall Acre: A Novel by Laura Frantz
That's it for today, but let me know if you've read these and liked them, or if you end up reading them and enjoying them! I hope you like them as much as I did!
Happy reading, Lovelies!
