Hi there!
It's time for this month's first Papertrey Group Post and this one is sure a fun one! I am LOVING these new products.....not only are they super cute and clever, but they make it so easy to create cards, etc. for GUYS, which we all know can be super challenging at times! Thanks to several of the product designers on the team, guy projects just got a whole lot easier! ;)
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on April 15 at 10pm EST.
First up, let me tell you about this card I made featuring Lizzie Jones' new King of the Grill stamp set. Seriously, cutest stamp set ever! It's so darn fun!! I'm pretty sure I could make burger cards till the cows come home, and be perfectly happy all the while. LOL! I stamped the burger layers on white card stock and then tucked a Basic Bookmark #1 die cut behind it, as well as a strip of dark chocolate card stock.
The patterned paper behind the burger is one from Maile Belles' new Super Succulents paper pack, and I thought it was such a fun pattern to pull out the cheese color on my burger! I used the King of the Grill dies, to die cut the little olive, and of course, stamped it in new leaf ink, so it would look like my favorite castelvetrano olives! (Have you had them?! They're the best olives ever...just look for that bright green color! Milder than a black olive and not as briny as a typical green olive. Yum!)
Oh, and side note -- that purple I used for the onion, is the new amethyst allure ink!
Next up, I created a gift card holder using Lizzie's new Favor It: Popcorn Bucket die, as well as the companion stamp sets -- Boxed Background Stripes and Treat Box Tag Lines.
For the popcorn bucket, I die cut two pieces of hawaiian shores card stock and stamped them with Boxed Background Stripes in new leaf ink. If you die cut four of them, you can actually put together a 4 sided bucket, which is also totally cute!! BUT, if you want to create a little pocket-style gift card holder, just cut out two of the scalloped panels and put them together back to back, tucking the tabs inside to adhere it together. EASY peasy. Seriously easy and oh-so-cute!
Then, if you want to make it even cuter, add some "popcorn" using the Cover Plate: Blue Skies die! I die cut the panel and then just trimmed off the right side at an angle, so it could be tucked down into the bucket. I die cut it from white card stock and then sponged on some "butter" using harvest gold and bright buttercup inks. I love how the ink didn't get into all of the impressed parts, making it look a bit more like popcorn. So fun!
I didn't have a movie theater gift card on hand to tuck into my little pocket, but seriously, how perfect of a gift/gift card holder would that be?!!
The little tag was created with the Treat Box Tag Lines stamp set and die....so perfect! I think I could also make a zillion of these little pockets and tuck all sorts of gift cards in them. Oh, and you can totally jot a note to the recipient, down below the "popcorn", if you want! You could also tuck this pocket in an envelope and drop it in the mail to someone!
One more fun little project before I go.....this one features Erin Lincoln's new Snack Cup Box and Snack Cup Wrap dies! I used them to create a little treat packaging for these yummo peanut butter filled pretzels. Have you had these things? Man, we love 'em over here and several of the guys on my side of the family, love them too! You could put these at place settings for your next family gathering or give them as a little just because treat, for a co-worker or the like.
The wrap itself, was created by die cutting two sets of the Snack Cup Box die pieces.....essentially, you're cutting out the left and right side of the wrap, as well as two of the little holders that you adhere in the middle. Then, I also cut out two sets of the little Snack Cup Wraps from patterned paper and just used a bit of adhesive to wrap them around the little snack cups. Oh, and I just got these snack cups at Target, in the section with paper plates/cups.
Before putting the pieces together for my wrap, I pulled out the Polka Dot Basics stamp set, and stamped some dots, and then just punched a hole in the top and tied on some twine, to hold the pieces together (the bottom panels are glued together). The little tag was created with that same Treat Box Tag Lines stamp set and die, but this time, I used a sentiment from the new Keep it Simple: Just For You stamp set. I love that particular font!
All righty, that's it for me, but be sure to see what all my friends have created with these new goodies!
