Hello there! It's time for the Papertrey May Countdown and today, I get to help introduce you to the latest stamp set in Maile Belles' new Splits series -- Splits: Thank You. This is a fun one with great watercolor possibilities, which I'm happy to show you today!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on May 15 at 10pm EST.
For each of these cards, I used the main frame image in a different orientation, but I paired each one with some colored embossing powder and watercolor. The results were SO fun! I seriously need to start using my colored embossing powders more often, like this!
So obviously for this first card, I used a red embossing powder and then used my Zig markers and a water brush to add the watercolor. I tied some baker's twine around the watercolor card stock, and then stamped a sentiment from Happy For You and added the little sentiment banner with some foam adhesive.
Next up, I stamped the main frame image on the diagonal, and then cut it down the middle, trimming out the space for the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment from Scripted, on the card base, and added the two watercolor card stock panels, with foam adhesive.
I used gold embossing powder for this one, and then added the watercolor once again. I finished this one off, with some summer sunrise ink and the little dots cluster image, also from Splits: Thank You. I had so much fun coming up with various color combinations that incorporated the embossing powder colors!
Ahhh....now this one is a bit unexpected! I started out by stamping the same image from Splits: Thank You with versamark on watercolor card stock and then heat embossing it with aqua embossing powder. Then, I went back in with purple and green watercolor markers.....I love the look of the purple/aqua flowers!
When I adhered the panels to the amethyst allure card base, I adhered them each upside down, with the straight edge at the top and bottom of the card, and the details pointing in toward the sentiment. The sentiment is from Splits: Thank You and I stamped it directly on the card base.
One more for today......for this one, I heat embossed with black embossing powder and then added a sentiment from my new Floral Sketches stamp set! Stay tuned for lots more about that set this week!
After I added the watercolor, I added a few sequins as well as a strip of vintage jadeite card stock that was die cut with a Moments Inked: Edged die.
Ok, that's it for me today, but I have lots more coming this week, so stay tuned! I'm excited! :)
For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Melissa Phillips, and Danielle Flanders for lots more sneak peeks. Betsy Veldman, Heather Nichols, Erin Lincoln and Maile Belles, will have peeks at their new sets as well.
