Hi there!
Welcome back! Time for one last Papertrey Group Post this month! Today, we're showcasing Betsy Veldman's new Forget Me Not stamp set and man, is it a beauty! We're also highlighting the Noted: Scalloped A1 and A2 die collections and the Double Ups dies. Lots of fun stuff today.
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on June 15 at 10pm EST.
I decided to create a little trio of cards that can be given as a gift. Making them each the same but changing up the sentiments and colors slightly, makes them quick and easy to put together.
The Noted: Scalloped A2 dies were used to cut out each of the card bases as well s the white layers. The dies were designed so that you can also emboss with them, by running them through your machine with the tan/cream embossing mats that Papertrey sells. That's how I was able to achieve that pretty scalloped/stitched embossed detail on the white panel.
All of the flowers were stamped with blueberry sky ink, stamped off first to lighten the blue color. Then they were topped with winter wisteria ink and bright buttercup centers. And of course, the leaves were all stamped with aqua mist ink.
Each of the sentiments is also from the Forget Me Not set.
I tied the cards together and stamped a little coordinating gift tag with more flowers as well as a to/from, from the new Keep It Simple: To and From stamp set.
So, of course in real life, forget me nots are typically blue. But you know me. I kind of like to buck the system, when it comes to color, so I couldn't resist stamping these little beauties in some corals just for kicks!
I used the Noted: Scalloped Square die, to cut out the scalloped layer and then, instead of using it as the card itself, I used it as a layer on the card front. I also die cut the circle from the same die set, from the middle of the panel, where the fold/score lines are. AND, I die cut a second circle and placed it back in the space, so that my focal circle wouldn't have a score line running through it. Then, I stamped the flowers from the set, as well as the sentiment, using pale peony, berry sorbet and pure poppy inks. I love that combo!! I used one of the Forget me Not word dies to cut out the "Forget" and sponged on some pure poppy ink on the bottom half. The card base is pale peony.
I can't wait to see what the rest of the girls have created with this gorgeous set, and I'm sure you're not gonna want to miss a single one either!
