Hi there!
Welcome back for another fun Papertrey Group Post! Today, we're introducing the Woodblock Prints collection of stamps, papers and stencils, designed by Nichole Heady. I have to tell you I had a ton of fun with these products! The color mixing and pattern options are endless! Let me show you what I created!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on June 15 at 10pm EST.
Firstly, I used my favorite of the stamps and layered it over the coordinating stencil. To start off, I sponged hawaiian shores ink on the aqua mist panel, through the stencil. Then, I inked the stamp with new leaf ink and sponged tropical teal on the top of the stamp each time, before stamping it. I love that multi-color look, especially when layered over a third color! Fun!
I pulled out the "wish big" sentiment from Stylish Sentiments: Birthday, and stamped it on a piece of white card stock that was die cut and embossed with some of the new Noted: Scalloped A2 dies. Below that sentiment, I added an additional sentiment -- this one from The Skinny.
For this background, I used a stencil and sponged berry sorbet ink on pale peony card stock. When I was finished, I went back in with a red Zig clean color real brush marker, and added the red dots over the sponged berry sorbet dots. Easy peasy!
I used another of the Noted: Scalloped A2 dies to cut out and emboss the oval layer, as well as to cut the scalloped trim at the bottom. The "hello" is from Wonderful Words: Hello and below that, I added another sentiment from The Skinny.
And here are a couple of quick cards for you, featuring the new Woodblock Prints papers. They are SO pretty and they reminded me of fabrics and quilting, so I decided to use all of them in strips, almost like my own little paper quilts. :)
I used the Big Basics: Thinking of You die, to cut out the large sentiment and beneath that, added one more sentiment from The Skinny.
Same card, different color scheme. So fun!
That's it for me, but be sure to visit my friends!!
