Hello there! It's time for the Papertrey July Countdown and this month, I'm excited to be bringing you two new stamp sets. We'll get to one of them tomorrow, but for today, I want to tell you all about Just a Number! This stamp set will help you to customize cards for a variety of occasions and make them specific to the individual recipient and the specific number of the occasion you're celebrating! For instance, celebrating a specific birthday? A big retirement after, say, 50 years? Or how about graduation cards with the year they're graduating? You can customize all of those numbers for whatever occasion you need, with the Just a Number stamp set!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on July 15 at 10pm EST. Let's chat about the cards, shall we?
For this first card, I pulled out my Floral Sketches watercolor sheets and watercolored the flowers and leaves with my Zig markers and a water brush. These watercolor sheets are fun because of all the fun gray scale patterns that are added around the flowers, rather than them being all white!
I layered the watercolor sheet on a Noted: Scalloped A2 die cut and then used the new Just a Number stamps and dies, to add the Happy Retirement sentiment, as well as the 25 for the number of years being celebrated and the decorative frame around the numbers!
For this card, I used the solid dark gray patterned paper from the Floral Sketches collection as the background, and then layered a piece of watercolor card stock over the top, that was watercolored with Zig markers and a water brush and then die cut with the Quatrefoil cover plate!
For the sentiment, I used another of the new Just a Number dies, as well as various stamps from the set, to create this graduation card! You can add any series of numbers you'd like, and you can change out the graduation for anniversary, birthday or even retirement! The same can be said for the die cut on the previous card. You have lots of options with this set! Lots of ways to customize for each specific occasion!
Here's a fun little card that shows you that even if you don't know what number of birthday or other occasion you're celebrating, not to worry!! Just pop in some flowers or other little image from your stash and you're good to go! These little flowers are from the Forget Me Not stamp set and all of the sentiment components are from Just a Number.
For the background, I used another of the papers from the Floral Sketches patterned paper collection and popped it on a berry sorbet card base.
I also included the word "Happy" in the die collection, so if you don't want to add numbers, you can just use this die cut (or the "Happy" stamp from the set) along with any of the occasion words as shown here......or heck, just use the "Happy" alone if you want! Again, lots of options! :)
I paired some papers from the Woodblock Prints patterned paper collection with the Sentiment Splits: Curve Vertical dies and layered the papers on a card base of a new color you might not have seen before! Stay tuned to Nichole's blog for more info about that this week! I used the Spring Woods stamps and dies, to add the floral branch as an accent, and stamped a coordinating birthday sentiment from Just a Number.
Next up, is a 20th anniversary card! For this one, I pulled out the Leave it Be stamp set and stamped a variety of leaves on a white card stock panel and then added a strip of patterned paper from the Woodblock Prints collection behind that, as well as some more of that new card stock that was die cut with the medium scalloped border die. Everything was layered on a new leaf card base.
For the sentiment, I used various sentiments and a frame from Just a Number, to create this custom sentiment on aqua mist card stock.
All right, I have lots more to show you this week! I hope you'll stay tuned each day!
For now, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Betsy Veldman, Heather Nichols & Ashley Cannon Newell for lots more sneak peeks. Erin Lincoln, Maile Belles & Lizzie Jones will have peeks at their new sets as well.
