Hi there!
Time for the first of this month's Group Posts and it's all about the sweet stuff today! We're showcasing a new stamp set and dies by Erin Lincoln, called Colorful Treats, as well as the newest dies in the Tiny Treats collection by Betsy Veldman, Sweet Shoppe!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on July 15 at 10pm EST.
Let's talk about this little sweet shoppe first, shall we? I created a little gift box to hold tea bags and paired it with a perfect sentiment for tea from my It's the Thought stamp set -- "Thought you could use a pick-me-up"!
I used a die from the Thank You Kindly collection, to to add a little tag to hold the sentiment. The little shop was created with the Tiny Town: Basic house die and then all the other dies you see here, are from the new Sweet Shoppe collection, including that adorable roof!! Gah. I love that thing!
For the little flowers and flower boxes, I just colored them with my Zig markers on white card stock -- no water this time -- and colored the top of the sign as well. Then, on the sign itself, I stamped some tiny flowers from Floral Sketches, in berry sorbet and pure poppy inks.
The box holds three tea bags (if you get this particular brand) and there is still space to add a chocolate or two, to go along with the tea. How sweet would this be, to leave sitting on a co-workers desk as a little surprise?
Erin's new stamp set has a really clever feature that I think you're going to love. All of the images have a solid stamp that can be added over the top, after you've colored everything, so that you can heat emboss them with clear embossing powder, to give your candies and other treats, a shiny finish! So smart!
I stamped my lollipops on watercolor card stock and colored them with my Zigs and a water brush and then, added the clear embossing over the top, once everything was dry. For the background, I used the new Cover Plate: Awning dies, also by Erin, to create a fun little sweet shop feel. And that sweet sentiment is also from Colorful Treats.
That's it for me, but check out what the rest of the team whipped up for your viewing pleasure!
