Hi there! Happy August! I'm just popping in today, with a couple projects to share with you for the Senior Design Team Challenge at Papertrey! This time, we're focusing on the Meadow Greens stamp set, which is one that I've loved for years. Admittedly though, I usually focus on the gorgeous leaves from the set. So this time, I decided to focus on the flower image and to use it as my focal point. Goodness, I need to use this pretty flower more often!
I stamped the flowers with a variety of three ink colors, all on pale peony card stock. I love the sort of texture you can achieve just by changing up the ink colors a bit. The flowers are topped with some sequins from my stash and the sentiment, stamped in scarlet jewel ink, is one from Meadow Greens. I inked the leaf images with simply chartreuse ink and sponged on some ripe avocado before stamping them.
Now for these flowers, I wanted more of a gradient look, so I die cut them from watercolor card stock, and then colored them with my Zig markers and a water brush. When they were dry, I stamped them with the images from Meadow Greens, using smokey shadow ink and then topped them with some buttons.
Behind them, I stamped some leaves from Meadow Greens and added a die cut leaf as well. I also used the Sentiment Splits: Curve Vertical die to add a curved strip of Still Life patterned paper.
Lastly, I added another of the sentiments from Meadow Greens.
All right, I'm off for now, but I hope your August gets off to a fabulous start and you can for sure, get lots more crafty inspiration today, just by visiting my friends on the design team!
